Excellent high-end vegan food at reasonable prices - Edit
Rasoterra does amazing high-end, local ingredient based, vegan food. The menu is changing all the time, but we've had great meals both times we've visited. They also have a large variety of natural wines and wine pairing for your meal. A great date night or special occasion destination.

Super Unique and Tasty - Edit
My partner and I went all out and ordered a lot of things to share. We LOVED the natural white wine they picked for us. My favorite dish was the almond gazpacho. We also tried the root vegetables, pasta with seaweed pesto, tomato bread, mushrooms, and an off-menu dessert (wasabi chocolate truffles). This restaurant was the first time in a long time where I felt like I was trying new and creative flavors (particularly the seaweed pesto and wasabi chocolate). I was really impressed.

Beautiful food! - Edit
We came here without a reservation but the guy really helped us out and managed to fit us in! So glad he did! The food is really flavourful and interesting here. Up market kind of place so be aware of that. Their natural wine was also great.
Read moreWe had gyozas, tomato bread, maitake mushroom, croquettes and paccheri and buckwheat cake and figs for dessert. The mushroom was a particular highlight!
Really delicious food and friendly helpful staff
Pros: Amazing flavourful food , Excellent staff, Good wine

Amazing vegan tapas restaurant - Edit
We ordered lots of smaller dishes to share - the spinach croquettes were our favourite dish (amazing flavours) and the tomato salad was also really great despite it being all different types of tomatoes.
Read moreAll of the dishes felt healthy and you could tell they had been freshly made.
I would advise booking beforehand because we did a walk in and they could only just squeeze the 2 of us in for an hour only. I think if we had arrived there any later they would’ve had to turn us away.
Pros: All vegan, Friendly staff, Amazing food

Very high quality and innovative dishes - Edit
Pleasantly surprised with the concept of this restaurant. They don't use processed food, not even tofu or seitan. Everything is very natural but very high end. The flavor profiles will for sure surprise you. It is a bit on the high price end, but it's definitely worth it.

Excellence and creativity - Edit
I admit that Rasoterra is pricier than I can usually afford. I think its target audience is both older and wealthier than I am, but that didn't stop it from becoming one of my favorite restaurants.
Read moreRasoterra is a small bistro in the heart of the Gothic district, they define themselves as slow food, and using 100% local products.
Well, I believe them, all of what we had was incredibly fresh. Vegetables and mushrooms are the centerpiece here, which should be good news for people who dislike tofu or mock meats. I would say baby boomers would really like the food here.
We had bean tacos (bad texture, great flavor), Catalonian croquettes (delicious), maitake mushrooms (amazing) and green curry (very bold flavors). For dessert we had a baked apple with bean cream and it was the best dish, and that's coming from me and I hate baked apples.
All in all, excellent place to try if you want to deviate from the usual places in Barcelona, since it's on a league of its own. Beware though because It was 30€ por person without wine.

Great Ingredients, Great Food - Edit
We wanted to taste everything on the menu and were really indecisive on what to get so we asked the waitress to pick the dishes for us and were really happy with what we tried. The km 0 tasty veggies were what truly got us; the quality of the food was amazing and we cherished every bite. I truly recommend pairing the dinner with one the many natural wines on the menu.

Lovely slow food inspired vegan - Edit
This was the nicest restaurant we were able to try in Barcelona, and in addition to the great staff and food on their menu, they had a showstopper dessert made from roasted apples with a cream made from local white beans!

Mixed quality but in general good - Edit
First of all: I am picky. With the concept and pricing I have high expectations and they were only partially met: We tasted half of the menu (the lower half literally!) and of that I enjoyed half, the other half was OK…but I probably would have been disappointed, if I had gone there and only eaten one of the okayish dishes.
Read moreSo everything that is cooked is really well. I would include the Tacos (however they are special - so be open for the taste).
Everything that is fried was quite dry, which is a shame, as you could tell they use high quality ingredients.
Anyway: The food will be different than what you expect… also in a good way. Would I recommend it? Yes, but only with mentioned limitations. I will go there again, but will be careful in what I chose next time alone (when I will not be able to “try almost everything”)

Pros: 100% vegan, special dishes you won’t get anywhere else, organic high quality ingedients
Cons: not overpriced but upper price range, only 50/50 chance to get something really great, you need a reservation

A great restaurant - Edit
It's a good idea to make a reservation. We were lucky and happened to arrive at opening time so we got a table but they quickly filled up with people with reservations.
Read moreThe food was really nice - interesting multi- national dishes. The plates are small-ish, a bit like tapas size so we needed 4 between 2 of us for a reasonable size lunch and then dessert.
The staff are very friendly, speak great English (I'm ashamed at my bad Catalunyan and Spanish) and they know about their dishes.
I'd definitely go here again.
Pros: Completely vegan, Great service, Innovative dishes

A special meal. We had the tasting menu and it was great. An almond soup, amazing salad, a taco with beetroot and Mai take mushroom, a red rice with tempura seaweed, and two desserts. Posting pictures because words do t do it justice. The only thing I would not have again was a chocolate truffle with wasabi. Really the experience was amazing.
