Serves meat, vegan options available. Menu has vegetarian and vegan items. If you contact in advance, the owner will make a variety of vegan dishes. Participates at Saturday morning's Downtown Windsor Farmers. Open Mon-Fri 12:00pm-7:00pm.
Tiny little Indian restaurant in the main business area of Tecumseh. Vegan and veg options including vegan butter chicken (with tofu or soya). I've been vegan since 1997 and eating Indian food since before then and this is the FIRST time I've found vegan butter chicken! Seems like a no brainer but for some reason no other resto I've been to has offered it.
The food here is high quality, very tasty and doesn't burn my taste buds off. Friendly staff. Best samosas I've had in years.
They also attend the Windsor downtown market on Saturdays so check them out!
Happy cow does not allow 5 star but let me tell you they are more than vegan friendly… when you call they are more than happy to stay on the phone to discuss their many vegan choices… we had 5 vegan dishes and the non vegan and 1st time Indian food mother in law all agree it was 1st class Indian cuisine…
Much love and respect brother Ronan and family at Rasoi…
Amazing food, and way more options than most - Edit
Sandra and her family make the most amazing Indian cuisine, and take your food requirements very seriously. She truly values the trust of her clients. While there are some vegan items on her menu, if you message her (via Facebook is what I do), a few days before, the vegan options she will provide are endless! She will also customize ingredients and heat level to preference. So worth a visit, especially as she is a new business establishing brick and mortar during covid.
