Delicious! - Edit
Wow! I admit I am picky, I expect a restaurant to offer something that I can't throw together at home easily, and to provide an entree that doesn't leave me hungry. Rascal's did both, the food was delicious and hardy. What else can I say but if you are in Santa Barbara, don't miss eating here. I had the Canyon Salad, and my spouse had a Burrito Bowl. Both were great.

Great Food & Big Portions - Edit
My boyfriend and I are both hard to please when it comes to Mexican-style food, but we were both satisfied with our meal at Rascal’s. We chose the Crunchwrap and Pambazo, which were both tasty and filling. It was our first time trying a pambazo, but it reminded us of a (much less wet) torta ahogada, so we enjoyed it. I also asked for a side of habanero salsa—it was really good (and actually spicy!). Our waiter was friendly and very patient, especially as I was in an indecisive mood and asked several questions. Overall, it was a solid dinner experience.

Classic food taken up a notch - Edit
Great selection of classic Mexican dishes. Had the pampazo torta and the asada crunch wrap. Both were big portions, and really flavorful with unique takes. I really liked the grilled bun on the torta, and the marinade of the asada. There is some outdoor seating (2 tables), and they offer take-out.

Huge portions; great food - Edit
Had the Pambazo Torta and it is absolutely massive! And delicious. It has a yummy grilled taste and also a bunch of other flavors. The Asada Crunschwrap was also good - I really liked the contrast of the fresh lettuce and mayo. Staff were super friendly! There are 2 small tables outside and it is actually nice to sit there even though it is on the street.

We loved our food and the portions were huge! Our biggest problem was we ordered too much! Could’ve split an entree easily. The crunch wrap was our fav!

We were in town for a wedding and took a friend’s recommendation to eat at Rascals. Just reading the menu made my tummy growl, and we ordered lots of yummy stuff. Our server, Chloe, was friendly and knowledgeable. We tried the Spicy Elote, chips/salsa/guac. The salsa came as a trio with 3 completely different and all were very flavorful . The serving of guacamole was very generous and we loved it! The Al Pastor tacos were some of the most tender seitan I’ve ever tried, anywhere. The Pambazo Torta (chefs favorite) was a mouthful of happiness, filled with terrific flavors, and very satisfying. Such a pleasant meal and a lovely vibe. Definitely go eat here if you get the chance! 💚

Fabulous Mexican vegan eatery! - Edit
From the spicy elote appetizer to the unbelievably generous helping of guacamole served with chips and a trio of salsas, we started with a bang! The torta was huge, and the al-pastor tacos were spot on. Every flavor and texture was terrific. And the staff was excellent. The chef, Dalen, even stopped by our table. This is a must for vegans in, around, or just passing through Santa Barbara.

We got there at 3 minutes pass 2:00, they close at 2:00, and they refused to serve us. Parking is impossible and took a few times around the block or we would have been the before 2. They lost a vegan for life good customer.

It's a small business operation and not their fault you got there after they closed. The owner is the cook and always there - there's a reason a break is scheduled between lunch and dinner.

Delicious vegan food! - Edit
First time in this town and used Happy Cow to find vegan food. This place definitely exceeding our expectations. It’s not easy to find vegan pancakes so we got an order in addition to our meals. The tofu scramble bowl was amazing and the tacos were fab too. The oat milk horchata was delicious. Just great!

First time trying Rascals, so good!! We went for Mother's Day brunch. Will definitely try everything else on the menu at some point! Got the breakfast crunchwrap, breakfast sandwich, and the kiddo (who's not vegan) got the French toast and absolutely loved it! She was too full to even try one of their donuts, shocking! Also loved the oat milk horchata.

It's easy to miss this place if you're driving by, but it's directly left of Ah Juice. Everything tasted great and fresh. Great vibe and attentive server. Highly recommend.
