Amazing vegan Mexican food! - Edit
Staff was friendly, place is quaint and cute, food is AMAZING, especially the gringa which uses seitan Al pastor and the best homemade flour tortillas!! The crunch wrap was okay in my opinion and you can just skip the arroz con leche but the churros were too good!

Huge portions, fully vegan! - Edit
An all vegan restaurant! Friendly service and massive portions. My husband and I could have easily split an entree. The Crunchwrap and fries were amazing. The chickn Cesar wrap was good, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the texture of the vegan chicken. I would try it again with a different protein substitute.

Great brunch in Santa Barbara - Edit
A must stop if you are in Santa Barbara. The brunch is delicious! We enjoyed a tofu scramble bowl, a breakfast burrito, and delicious blueberry pancakes. Everything tasted fresh, was prepared with care, and love, and the service was outstanding.

Went here for brunch and loved it! The best blueberry pancake I’ve ever had. Breakfast tacos were on fresh flour tortillas with delicious tofu scramble. Can’t go wrong with the crunch wrap either. Very nice vibe inside too! Friendly service.

Great burrito - Edit
Got the al pastor burrito and chips and guac while in Santa Barbara a few weeks ago and both were great flavor and texture wise. I liked the (seitan?) al pastor in the burrito.

Tasty crunchwrap - Edit
Had to support the only all vegan restaurant while visiting Santa Barbara. Pricey but at least the portions are large. Had the crunchwrap. Cashew cream sauce on point! It was really tasty but the second half fell apart when I picked it up. Cute place. Wish I had sat on the back patio (sunny day) because it was freezing inside, but didn’t see it until I walked to the restroom.

Vegan Mexican worth the stop - Edit
I stopped in to Rascals on a day trip in Santa Barbara and it was delicious! Everything is a little bit pricey but it filled me up. I got the burrito bowl with Al Pastor. There were a number of filling options to choose from so it was hard to decide! The bowl came quickly and tasted great! The restaurant is on a street next to a brewery, a juice place, and a chocolate factory so lots to see. Parking is a bit challenging.

Cons: Difficult parking, Pricey, Smallish-menu

Huge portions; great food - Edit
Had the Pambazo Torta and it is absolutely massive! And delicious. It has a yummy grilled taste and also a bunch of other flavors. The Asada Crunschwrap was also good - I really liked the contrast of the fresh lettuce and mayo. Staff were super friendly! There are 2 small tables outside and it is actually nice to sit there even though it is on the street.
Read moreA year later, I went back during burrito week because there was a deal for a $9 burrito. It was lovely and came with a creamy orange sauce. Normally, their burritos are $20, which is too expensive for me so I’m glad there are annual discounts like this.

Great vegan mexican food - Edit
I previously wrote and took down a review as I initially rated Rascal’s poorly. I’ve eaten here multiple times and have had some good, some poor experiences. I am critical of their brunch and Americanized options such as the crunchwrap. Their tacos, tortas, and sopes are bomb. The prices are high but standard for the location, but I actually appreciate how many non-vegans eat here because they are eating a vegan meal and get to experience how creative and delicious vegan food can be.
Read morePros: Mexican options are delicious, Great service , Completely vegan
Cons: Prices, Americanized options are not worth it , Salsa with a burrito should be the norm!

Amazing - Edit
I love supporting vegan businesses! The food did not disappoint. We ordered the tofu scramble and the asada Crunchwrap. Although they were both good, the tofu scramble was incredible. The only thing I didn’t absolutely love was the iced orchata coffee. I could’ve done without it. But the food was incredible! Lovely spot and great service.

Worth coming to multiple times - Edit
The fact that Rascal’s is the only fully vegan place in SB currently is reason enough to go eat there more than once. But regardless of that, the food alone is delicious enough that it’s worth coming back for too.
