Amazing place

This brew Pub was amazing! Separate vegan and gluten free menus. I got the vegan burger with side salad with tahini dressing

I am not exaggerating when I say this was the best burger I've had at a restaurant. You know most beyond or impossible burgers are usually ehh at a resturant but this was seasoned and had all the fixings. The tahini dressing was super tasty too

I dont drink and they had several non alcoholic drinks including a local kombucha

Good food & service

Had the smoked sweet potato tacos. Came with cheese, but customer service was good & they took care of the situation. Dish was delicious. Only suggestion is to provide enough salsa for the chips. Vegan cheeseburger was also very good.

Vegan delight!!

Love a place with a vegan menu! This place is so considerate and did a great job, my vegan burger with a side of fries was delicious and cane with all the fixins

Vegan memu

Ask for the vegan and gluten free menu. The options are similar to the regular menu but you can be sure they are vegan! Our waitress was awesome and sent back our bowl when it had cheese on it without having me ask. Definitely recommend!

BURGER

Had such a delicious vegan cheeseburger. Somehow tasted like McDonald’s but in the BEST way. Forgot to even take a picture. Bought a second one to take with us. They had a special dietary needs menu which I appreciated.

Pros: Separate vegan menu, Delicious food, Cute atmosphere

Cons: A bit expensive , Had to wait in line to order food, Drinks not clearly labeled vegan

Options are good but not groundbreaking

I ordered the Vegan Burger and it was exactly what I expected. Not bad, but also not anything special. It was great to have options, however I wouldn’t pick this place strictly for their burger. The environment is great and beer is good as well.

A few vegan options

Went once and had the vegan fried avacado tacos - they were very good so was the service at the bar! Came back w/a friend my food was so greasy it made my stomach ache, I stopped eating (friend avo tacos again plus added the "portabella fries") my friend ordered a Ceasar salad and it was so fishy, I could smell it! 🤢 Service at the bar was still top notch and he removed our food for quality issues. Mostly my comments are buyer beware on the food - depends who's in the kitchen it seems.

Cons: Very greasy the second visit , The salsa was not very good in my opinion , Feels very much like a regulars bar kinda place.

Vegan chipotle bean burger 🔥

I come here specifically for the chipotle bean burger it’s so good — the staff here is great, they’ll answer any and all questions you have, and double check that each ingredient is allergen friendly for you. The kitchen is super quick too!

Vegan cheeseburger was amazing!!

They have a vegan cheeseburger listed on their menu and it was sensational!!! I don't have any allergies but they claimed it was all vegan as I had seen someone commented below who had an allergy and had some issues after eating it. There was a LOT of mayo on it, but I didn't get an upset stomach which usually happens on the rare occasion I eat something that contains dairy or egg. I haven't had it in years. I'm assuming they altered the recipe so it is all vegan now, but definitely double check if you have allergies. I loved it tho, the French fries were great too!

Pros: 2 outdoor areas, one with additional bar, Very tasty food

Cons: Few vegan options

Decent vegan menu

Food was good, although even though we asked for a vegan menu we didn’t specify we didn’t want dairy product, black bean burger and salad were not vegan. Would be good and vegan if specifically stated, not assumed when ordering off vegan menu.

Really great vegan burger

Most of the menu is pretty lackluster, but their vegan burger and fries is delicious!

Educate employees on vegan food, if you’re going to have vegan options.

My husband and I ordered their vegan burger. It claimed to have vegan mayo. First off, I opened my container to find it had Parmesan on the fries, then I took a couple bites of the burger and the mayo was definitely not vegan. Not only am I vegan, but I also have a egg and dairy allergy. Needless to say, I found out the hard way that their vegan burger was not at all vegan!

Just OK

Vegan menu is short. Impossible burger, black bean burger, black bean taco. The black bean burger was just OK.

Pros: Vegan food list upon request

Cons: Very few vegan options, traditional boring vegan burger options

Great spot

Traverse City has a amazing food scene, especially for it's small size. The most successful spots in town are certain to offer vegetarian options. Rare bird is no exception.
