We just popped in for snacks. Had a very nice vegan hot chocolate. Wife had a tea cake. Dairy milk available but extra charge. Some staff very friendly others less so.

Excels at hot chocolate - Edit
Breakfast wise I had the vegan full English with a side of guacamole. Enjoyed that the haggis wasn’t a meat substitute however I did find this to be very salty. I cannot stop here without getting the vegan hot choc, it is to die for
Read moreAs for the evening menu- I thought the beetroot risotto was just okay and my main takeaway from it was that it was quite a small portion. Luckily we only stopped in for a light meal however I would have been left disappointed if this was served to me with expectations of a decent meal out

Good choice for lunch with friends - Edit
We’d arranged to meet friends for lunch in Ssltburn so needed to find somewhere that could cater for two omnis, a pescatarian, a gluten free vegetarian & a gluten free vegan! Thank God for Happy Cow as Rapp’s Cafe turned out to be an ideal choice with everyone able to find something they liked on the menu.
Read moreThe vegan & gluten free options were clearly marked & they had both soya & oat milk available. I plumped for the Buddha bowl which was flavoursome & filling. Judging by the empty plates everyone else enjoyed their meals too.
Pros: Relaxed, friendly vibe , Vegan & gluten free options clearly marked , Staff checked for allergies

The perfect venue for a relaxed sit down meal. Several vegan options available such as the buddha bowl, tomato rigatoni, and the butternut squash & chickpea curry. So far I have tried the tomato rigatoni, which was incredibly flavourful. Will definitely be coming back to try more dishes from the menu.

I had breakfast here, on a Tuesday morning in August. It was quite quiet, but where was a nice buzz about this cafe.
