Enjoyed dinner here with local Orcas vegan group. With advance notice, the kitchen offered several vegan options. The green papaya salad was bursting with citrus. The flavors of lemongrass and galangal came through in my tofu red curry dish. I got to try some of the tom kha soup, which was the best version I've ever tried - with subtle umami base notes and rich coconut that wasn't overdone. The portions were generous, leaving me with leftovers for the next day.
Read moreIt would be great if the menu items could be vegan by default, and not require advance notice. The flavors were excellent, so I can't see omni diners missing anything by the sauces being vegan.

Call ahead for more vegan options - Edit
This is a part-time restaurant, so reservations are needed and the chef can make more vegan dishes with advance notice. On the menu, the vegan app is crispy spring rolls and main is red curry. We have had two Orcas vegan meetups here and by calling ahead, the chef has made other items vegan: green papaya salad, tom kha soup, peanut sauce (wo chicken broth), and phad thai. Overall, great flavors and large portions.
