Nice small town Mexican restaurant - Edit
This is a nice authentic style Mexican restaurant that is arguably the most vegan friendly venue, as compared to the limited options in the area. The interior decorations and overhead music add ambiance. Complimentary salsa and warm tortilla chips are served as you sit down.
Read moreThe Vegetarian Fajitas were very good, especially the sautéed vegetables. I veganized by ordering without cheese or sour cream. It came with 4 small tortillas wrapped in tinfoil to keep them warm. The side of tomatillo salsa (extra charge) was excellent and had some decent heat.
VEGAN MENU OPTIONS
The menu does *not* have vegan labeling. There is a Vegetarian section of the menu with 7 veganizable options (ask to omit dairy such as cheese & sour cream):

The “Table Side Guacamole” looks vegan from its menu description. It is made fresh in front of you, and you can customize with ingredients such as mango. I will try it next time.
I hate to be critical, especially with so few vegan options nearby, but this place could easily be 4 stars by improving on the following: the complimentary tortilla chips were greasy; the complimentary salsa was watery; the refried beans that came with my fajitas were watery; and there were not enough tortillas served with the fajitas.
Still, overall, it was a good small town dining experience, and I would not hesitate to return if I was in the area again.
