Delicious, quaint and quiet space with local ingredients.

Steps away from Nara Park, be sure to come here after a day of feeding deer! We got the Chinese noodle bowl (ramen) and the kuurage set and they were both delicious. Highly recommend

Best food I’ve had yet in Japan!

The Buddha bowl is the bowl of greens you’ll definitely need while you’re in Japan. Such a cute wee restaurant off the beaten track, host is lovely. Be patient and prepare to be amazed, so absolutely worth it!!

Pros: Fresh vegetables , Large portion, Cheap

Good food for nice prices

We had the Hamburger plate and the ramen. Both were tasty, i loved all the sidedishes on the plate.
The owner is very friendly and even she worked alone, we didn't have to wait too long for our dishes.

Unfortunately it smelled a bit like cat pee on the inside, so i didn't want to sit there. But fortunately there are seats on the outside too.

Pros: Affordable , Great food

Cons: Inside smelled a bit like cat pee, Cash only!

So good I literally cried

Small cafe/restaurant incredibly exclusively managed solely by its owner, who is a lovely person who really likes cats (as you’d soon learn as you walk into her restaurant) all the menus are some of the best Japanese cuisine i’ve ever tried and some more “western” items as well. Everything is fresh and homemade and you can really tell with each bite. They take cash only but there are several places nearby with ATMs and money exchange 24h machines.
100000% recommended!

Pros: Plenty of delicious variety, Very reasonably priced, The owner rescues cats!

Cons: No card payment

Unglaublich lecker!

Hier stimmt der Preis, das Ambiente und vorallem das Essen! Bring etwas Zeit mit, hier arbeitet nur eine Person. Das warten lohnt sich, wir sind ja im Urlaub und nicht auf der Fluch ♡

Pros: Geschmack , Ambiente , Nachtisch 🤯

Calm and beautiful place

Small but beautiful place, all the food is prepared by one lady so the waiting time can be longer, but totally worth it. We ordered the karaage bento and ice-cream and both were excellent! Highly recommend coming here ❤️

Cute vibes

The cafe was really sweet and had great vibes. We had the sorghum burgers and an ice cream (down to the last of our cash oops, it's cash only in here!!) Really quick for one person doing everything! Super delicious, would love to come back someday

Cute little vegan cafe

Run by a solo fan of cats. The food was good. I really enjoyed the bento lunch which included miso soup, tempura vegetables, brown rice, nuggets (seitan perhaps) and potatoes.

Great to find an entirely vegan restaurant in the area and I’m very pleased to have visited. There was a wide selection of soft drinks and it was nice to see they weren’t from your typical brands.

Reasonably priced. 3400¥ for two of us. We had two main meals, a side and two drinks.

Pros: Wide menu options , Nice tasting food

Cons: The toilet is the least accessible I’ve ever encou, It was unclear whether you are supposed to seat yo

Small cute Restaurant and everything is handled by one woman. You can choose from Burgers, Bento-Boxes and Ramen. There were also some deserts. Everything tasted delicious and was served in large portions. If you are in Nara you have to visit this place!

Pros: Support rescued cats, Has a little shop with vegan food, Friendly and motivated

What a gem!

This was the sweetest little place! It is just a one woman show, so there was a bit of a wait but we didn’t mind - you could see how hard she was working and the care she put into every order.
I had the falafel bowl and it was super tasty and the falafel weren’t dry like they sometimes can be. My sister had the karage bento and she adored it!
Side note, I loved all the cat decorations, also the selection of vegan goodies you could buy to take home.

Sweet one-woman home cooking

We loved it here. It's close to the park (certainly closer than I thought a vegan place would be) and is run by one sweet lady. We arrived just before opening and had a chance to cool down in the heat and we ordered a couple of Benton boxes. There was a bit of a wait as she makes each one by herself but we didn't mind getting out of the heat. Delicious food, generous portion. It is like going to your Grandma's for lunch. It did get full quite quickly as it is a small place so you may have to wait.

Pros: Great food , Great service , Lovely interior

Cons: Can be a long wait

Patience pays off

This is a wonderful, tiny restaurant that seems to be a one woman show. Your food is made with care, and it takes some time, but it was worth the minor wait. The karage bento was supreme!!!! And the tempura 🤤

There were pamphlets inside the restaurant relating to animal rights issues in Japan, and a donation box for cat rescue - both of these things indicate to me that this is a "real" vegan restaurant, not just a place that is catering to the culinary demands of tourists.

Like being at home, if I could cook!

Such a cute wee cafe, decorated with so many cats! Run by one older lady who is so sweet. It felt like being at Nana's for lunch. It's just her, so if you're in a rush probably not the right place. It was worth the wait though😄
