Worth a trip - Edit
The broccoli side was flavorful & crispy. Try the spicy ramen; it’s amazing. I tried the vegan egg. It looks great in photos, but don’t bother ordering it. It’s weird and gelatinous and doesn’t taste like anything.

Get the broccoli! - Edit
I think this is better than the the Vegan Hood in L.A., in that the seating is much more comfy. I hope this NYC location becomes permanent!

Amazing noodles ! - Edit
I tried this place because I found it in happy cow lol it was a a great choice. The noddles are too die for ! The broth has so much flavor and you can tell it’s vegan! We didn’t get to try other things since we were just really hungry but my suggestion is don’t get the vegan egg, it doesn’t taste like anything lol it just looks appealing on the noodles. Also the service is EXTREMELY fast, we sat down after ordering and we probably waited about 8-12 minutes and we got all of our bowls. It was 4 of us.

Best vegan ramen in NYC - Edit
Ramen Hood is not only the best (vegan) ramen I’ve had in NY, but also the best I’ve had in the US. Lucky for me since Los Angeles is my hometown! Reasonable prices, food comes out quickly, staff is friendly. Try their vegan egg!

Ramen Hood is finally in NYC yay!!! - Edit
Love the ramen! Delicious :). Nice setting as well and close to the 6 train. NOTE: I was informed that this is a pop-up and will only be at the Chef’s Counter location for 3 months, so better come while they’re still here!!!
Read moreUPDATE: Just heard from the cashier that they’re staying at this location until April 2019 and then will most likely find a permanent place in the village, yay!
Pros: All vegan and delicious!, Nice staff, Relaxed take-away and sit-down setting

So happy to find a legit vegan ramen joint. The sunflower broth is different from others I’ve had but still so savory and full of flavor

Tasty - Edit
The spicy ramen was great but the OG ramen was disappointing, flavourless, the only delicious thing about it was the oyster mushroom. The egg wasn’t good, they probably could do better😄

Kind of disappointing - Edit
I read the good reviews so maybe i just caught them on an off night. The ramen was ok, but the vegan egg was inedible. The side of broccoli was soggy, and the cucumber salad was mushy. We couldn't eat either side dish. I was really excited about this place so I really wanted to like it, sadly disappointed.

I had the OG Ramen - was not adventurous enough to try the “egg”. The ramen was so very delicious, flavorful and satisfying! I loved it and would highly recommend.

Fantastic place! - Edit
One of the best bowls of vegan ramen I’ve had! The broth was rich but in a balanced way without much fat. The noodles were perfect. The portion was just right - leaving you with just enough space to split a delicious side or two with friends. And a nice selection of beers, sake and vegan friendly wine. YUM!!!

Fun, tasty worry-free concept - Edit
Went on a Saturday late-afternoon in November, around 6:00. It was busy but was able to move from barstools to a table while waiting for order (got lucky)! Ramen was very filling. Split order of Ahi appetizer - which was fantastic and made of an outer cracker with smooth avocado & beet inside. Being Vegan for 20 years I may be biased because unlike some other reviews I actually found everything REALLY SPECIAL. Just the fact there’s a place I can eat at without worry something will have a fish base or other fishy ingredients really warms my heart ...with delicious, tasty broth. While definitely not how I remember them at all, I found the Vegan Egg really fun and unique. Overall, excited to go again to try more of the menu while they’re here in NYC!

Great ramen - Edit
Even though this ramen was really really good, it wasn’t necessarily “special”. The vegan egg tasted like rubber so I really do not recommend it. Otherwise, staff was amazing and the place is really nice but very busy (which I think is good since we want more people eating vegan food 😛)

NYC steps up its ramen game - Edit
Definitely the best ramen I've had recently, and I think it would be satisfying for anyone from a soy-free vegan (there are also gluten-free soy-free options) to an omnivore. The spicy sunflower broth is amazingly flavorful (and you can customize the spice level). The mushrooms and vegetables add the perfect amount of flavor and texture. The chili threads add a bit more dimension, and also a beautiful presentation. And who knew you could make a vegan egg so convincing‽‽‽

The best ramen outside of Japan - Edit
Absolutely delicious. We ordered the OG ramen, spicy ramen and side of broccoli. All were very tasty and reasonably priced. The vegan egg was very realistic, including the runny yolk. Highly recommended and would go back for sure.

This place is amazing!!! - Edit
I love this place!!! I have had vegan ramen at non-veg establishments, but it is so nice to be able to go to a restaurant and not have to worry about accidentally eating animal products. This place is hip and popping. The broth is sunflower seed based, reminiscent of the creamy sesame broth tan tan noodles but without the strong flavor and heavy texture. The noodles are delicious, as are the seared king oyster mushrooms that accompany them. The vegan egg is an extra charge, but you must try it. Where have you ever seen such a thing before??? It’s made from soy and nutritional yeast, and while it doesn’t taste exactly like an egg, it is very interesting. The banh mi poutine has hoisin sauce gravy, daiya cheese, pickles, and of course fries. The gravy was a little sweet for my taste but definitely worth trying.

Great pop-up ramen joint - Edit
Temporary takeover of the Chefs Club Counter on Spring Street by this LA-based ramen restaurant. Broths were all very rich, good portions. Loved the avocado toast on rice gluten and the roasted broccoli side dishes. Will be coming back again before they close in Jan 2019.

Delicious! - Edit
Went here with some work colleagues and everyone said that it was excellent, including my non-veg boss! The portion was very filling and had so much flavor. My only critique would be to have some more veggies but other than that, fantastic experience. Oh and the vegan egg is super weird but tasty.
