Good for North Indian Veg Food

Restaurant has a good selection of North Indian items like Naan, Rice, dishes. Tends to be noisy in the nights with India tourists, with poor ambience. Food is not cheap. It should be 2 $$ signs, not 1.

Pros: Good selection of Indian veg food, Can ask for no onion garlic, Quick service

Cons: Food price increased badly , Starters selection very limited, Gets very noisy with loud tourists

My safe lunch choice

Ordered from here multiple times, usually Samosa Chaat. I was never disappointed, delivery is quick, food is good and portions just the right size

Edit: I recently turned vegan and struggled with them. While they have multiple dishes labelled as vegan, I often found that they added paneer or cream nonetheless.
Great for vegetarians, vegans watch out

I last patronised them back in November 2018 with friends, and we had the same experience. It would seem that this is a systemic problem that has still not been resolved even after people have been complaining about it for many years. This was the review I left on Google Maps back then:

"They don't seem to understand what "vegan" means, despite the many items on their menu labelled as such. We ordered a couple of briyani dishes (labelled vegan), and checked with them whether they use ghee in the cooking. They said they only use vegetable oil, not ghee. However, our dishes came with raita on the side and paneer in the rice itself, and when questioned on this the staff got defensive, telling us that we did not inform them beforehand that we could not take those items and that some other customers could. They also did not offer to replace the non-vegan dishes. We tried to explain to them that vegans do not consume milk products of any kind and told them to ensure that their vegan-labelled dishes do not contain any dairy, and they seemed to agree. However, a friend visited them subsequently and found that many of the a la carte dishes labelled vegan actually contain cream, which they apparently cannot replace or omit. What a shame."

Lots of options on the menu and reasonably priced. Food is pretty good but restaurant can get busy at times.

Ok for lunch

First visit at new location which is close to metro. Ate at old location some years ago. Food reasonable but not exceptional. Had southern Indian Thali plus black lentil dhal. Some confusion over vegan choices which could have been clearly labelled on menu.

Pros: Reasonable prices , Reasonable choice of dishes

Cons: Vegan options not clear

great vegetarian Indian food

We had paneer and pori as a starter. As a main we had stuffed potato in tomato sauce.
Everything tasted grat. Friendly staff.

Possibly the best Veggie Indian food in Little India

A friend pointed me here a few month ago. I've been here probably 6 times since then. The food is excellent and the portions are huge. It's also pretty cheap for a restaurant in Singapore. There was another comment about not knowing what to order, this has apparently changed since then. All menu items are marked to denote pure vegan, dairy, onions and garlic.

I've lived in Singapore for several years now. Raj and a place called Gokul are the two best Indian vegetarian restaurants I've found.

Recommendations::
Buttermilk (mor)
Dahl-e-Raja

Pros: Delicious, Not Expensive

Cons: Too far from my house

Bland

We were really looking forward to dining here after reading some good online reviews but left feeling a little disappointed. A lot of the menu is primarily vegetarian with a lot of paneer options available, the vegan options were a little limited we thought. We decided to order the masala dosai ($3.8), a daal butter fry ($7.5), vegetable makhanwalla ($9) with jeera rice and chapati, all for a reasonable $34.25. The masala dosai was amazing and quite possibly the best we have eaten anywhere but the makhanwalla and the daal in particular, just lacked the depth of spices and flavour we were expecting.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Limited vegan options, Bland

Quite expensive

I dined here one evening. I ordered a starter, a curry and 2 breads. It came to SGD 26. This seems quite expensive to me compared to other places nearby.

The prices look reasonable on the menu but then they whack you with 17% extra when you get the bill -I always find that deceitful.

Food was ok - I made a bad choice. There is a board outside saying that they have vegan food. But the menu has no indication of which dishes are suitable. Many have milk products in them. So it makes choosing difficult. Menu would benefit greatly from a key to indicate vegan options.

Cons: Quite expensive, Difficult to identify vegan options, No alcohol
