Love the food here! - Edit
First raw vegan place I found when I moved to island. It is a bit pricey but good food is always a bit pricey. All items on menu are delicious. Everything is fresh and tasty. Portions are perfect. I go there once a month at least.

Great food - Edit
The food was very good and I felt good after eating there as well. The Palo Santo Kombucha on tap was delicious I give it four stars because I didn’t find the staff to be super friendly. They were nice but a little bit of an uptight vibe in my opinion. The desserts are not worth it at all. What they are charging for the quantity is ridiculous.

I literally love everything here - Edit
This is one of the best raw vegan restaurants I’ve ever been to. I’ve been on Kauai for 7 days and eaten here multiple times a day. Everything here is amazing!!

interesting but not filling - Edit
We ordered two dishes. Both had the same ingredients arranged slightly differently - lettuce heavy rather than a leaf with more nutrients like kale.

Delicious Raw Vegan Food - Edit
We had the pizza, the tacos and some smooothies and all were delicious. The bill was about $50 for two people for lunch and we thought it was worth it as everything was really good and very fresh. We were thrilled that everything on the menu was vegan. It was nice to have options! So as noted the service is a little slow but we found the folks working there to be friendly and we were not in any hurry so that didn’t bother us.

Lot of greens but few beans - Edit
We ate two veggie wraps and they were delicious! Looked wonderful and tasted wonderful, but it has few substance. After the lunch we were quickly hungry again. All food was raw which can explain why there were no beans. Maybe with some beans/lentils/etc would be more complete. We also had a smoothie and a chocolate/banana desert and they were perfect!

Delicious but tiny portions and slow - Edit
The food was very tasty, and we were excited to eat raw vegan in Kapa'a. Unfortunately I received a totally different dish than what I ordered. It took so long to wait for it, that I didn't say anything because I didn't want to wait any longer and what he brought out looked/tasted very good too. The portions were so small we immediately went somewhere else to eat all over again.

expect a long wait - Edit
We waited almost two hours before our food showed up. I had falafel which was tasty. My partner had the rainbow burger which had a strange (especially for an Omni palate) flavour, was served with tomatoes when he asked for none, and was mostly sprouts (luckily I live them). Not worth the price or the wait.

Raw gourmet treat - Edit
This is a great place for raw vegans! The owner was very welcoming! All items were beautifully crafted, and seemed complicated or time-consuming to recreate. The presentation was excellent.
Read moreMy husband loved his burger. I enjoyed the nori rolls, but--not being a raw vegan--I admittedly prefer the taste of rice over sunflower seeds. Food included lots of high quality fats, so it was very filling. Meals might be heavy for some.
Pros: Rare raw vegan items, Beautiful presentation , Excellent service
Cons: Limited seating , Might be a little heavy with lots of high quality

Raw Foods Surprise - Edit
This little raw foods cafe is tucked away just off the main highway with a couple of outdoor tables in addition to the few inside. We had the taco salad and the burger, which were bother super fresh and tasty. We finished with the dragon fruit cheesecake, which was a beautiful purple, but didn't do much for us.

Worth the wait - Edit
I'm not much of a raw foods person, but this was really delicious. I had dessert too, some sort of chocolate mousse thing and it was amazing. The sauces were really flavorful and there are so many different options on the menu. I just wish they were open later. I caught them just before closing time and was so happy they didn't turn me away.

Great Lunch - Edit
We had the falafel. Nice sauces, especially the almond cream substitute for tzatziki. This was the only vegan food we found on Kauai. Friendly staff, obviously proud of their food. Seem to have a few regulars come and go while we were there.

Disappointing - Edit
I have been a life long vegetarian (no fish and no meat) and have eaten all sorts of vegan / veggie food in all sorts of places. This place is over priced for the taste of the dishes. We tried 3 of the mains and only one was "ok". The rest were tiny portions on huge beds of lettuce. The falafel was ok. The veg wrap is tiny but the ingredients are ok. Stay away from the taco. The beans taste unfortunately like meat substitutes. Sadly this is the first listing on happy cow we were disappointed with.

Wonderful all vegan food in Kapaa - Edit
We had a great lunch here during our stay on Kauai. All items are made fresh here with each dish prepared for your order which means there is a 20-30 minute wait but so worth it. This is the only place we found here that was all vegan. So many great looking food, drink, and smoothie options it was hard to pick. We settled on the rainbow veggie wrap, guac and chips, and mint limeade. Overall, this meal was delicious and a great value especially compared to other eats on the island.

Only vegetarian restaurant on Kauai - Edit
We had a great lunch here. This is the only vegetarian restaurant on Kauai. Everything is vegan, organic and gluten free except for a bee pollen add on. Vegan dining options can be otherwise hard to find on Kauai. We had the nori roll, wrap, pizza and taco, plus a salad. We also had the chia pudding for dessert. All were nicely done. The owners were very gracious and friendly.

Wonderful food and great atmosphere! - Edit
My husband and I went to Kaua'i for our honeymoon and, as vegans, were afraid we weren't going to be able to find much on the island. Boy, were we wrong!
Read moreOf all of the places we tried, we loved Rainbow Living Foods the most! There is a generous selection of entrees, desserts, and drinks so going there twice during our week there was wonderful!
There was only one very nice and friendly guy working both times we went, so it was a bit slow, but we didn't mind at all. The atmosphere is great and there is indoor and outdoor seating and you can even get your food to go and step right out to the beach to eat!
We tried the pizza, taco and falafel wrap as well as the fudge and energy balls for desserts and the Rainbow shake and banana nut milk shake for beverages - everything was amazing! The taco was our favorite, though. :)
I thought everything was reasonably priced ($10 for an entrée, $3-6 for dessert, around $6 for a large shake) considering the island has many expensive options.
This place has great food that makes you feel energized and filled but not overly full - so you can still go snorkeling or kayaking or hiking or whatever you have planned!
Hopefully this place will be around for a very long time. It deserves to be!
Pros: Reasonable prices, GREAT food, Nice atmosphere
