Great Burrito

I had the veggie burrito with tofu. It came loaded with different veggies plus rice and beans. The menu didnt mention rice and beans so I ordered a side of beans which was unnecessary. I also ordered a side of chips and salsa which was unnecessary because the entree came with that as well. The burrito was toasty outside and hot inside, huge and filling. The pineapple salsa is delicious.

Pros: Fresh, hot, delicious food, Delicious home made sauces

Cons: Not a wide range of vegan options

Fast and good

Very fast service. 2 vergetarian options, they're vegan without the cheese (and cream for the quesadillas). You can eat there or take out. You have unlimited refills on your drink, however take into account that there is a long waiting line (for the drinks, not for the food).

There are a lot of beans and vegetables in the burrito, so if you want some healty vegan fast food, you should pay a visit to Railway Cantina.

Pros: Fast service, Healty

Painless substitutions

I grew up in this town, and this place, hands-down, has the best veg-friendly burrito there.

Two items on this menu that are readily veganized: Tofu and veggie burrito, and the falafel burrito (so called because they put salsa in it - there are five house-made salsas to choose from).

In exchange for no dairy in the falafel wrap, the counter staff was happy to sub in tofu - free of charge. They do really care about whether or not they get your order right, and are careful to read-back if anything's unclear. Burritos are pressed in a sandwich press, and are definitely big enough to split into two meals. For ~$14 per burrito, that's a reasonably large amount of tasty, well-seasoned food.

They have something like 10+ Alaskan-produced brews on draft, which is great, since they make some appreciably...warm...salsa.

They're open until 10 or so during the summer season, so they're nearly a sure thing if you got into town later than planned.

In sum - if you're vegan, travelling to Seward, and need a reasonably-priced, filling, tasty meal, this place's veg burritos will do the trick.

Pros: no upcharge for subbing tofu, excellent house-made salsas, tasty food, good beer, attentive staff

Cons: could use more veg options, maybe a beans and rice side dish?, How about some guacamole?
