The terrace was better than the food

There's something about getting room temperature food (beans and tortilla) when the food should seem like it was freshly cooked that turned me off. It was a slow month for them I'm sure (during co-vid) but it just doesn't even seem very healthy to leave food out all day and then serve it.

Pros: beautiful

Cons: who knows how long those beans had been sitting ou

Really good mole and nice staff

I had vegan enchiladas with mole, the filling could have been a bit lighter but the mole was delicious. The place is really cosy with a good view and the staff is friendly so it was a nice experience.

Tasty vegan options

Fresh and tasty, staff happy to make things vegan. Pleasant atmosphere and a great view from the patio setting. Feb 2020.

Good option when the veg places are closed

I had lunch at Raices on a holiday when all the veg*n places in the area were closed (because it’s a hotel restaurant, it stays open).

I very much enjoyed the breezy terrace and its fine views of the cathedral and the mountains.

The menu includes several items that can be veganized by asking them to hold the dairy (“sin queso, sin crema”), including enchiladas, a chile relleno, and a tlayuda.

The enchiladas were tasty, especially after adding a sprinkle of salt.

Service was good and English is spoken.

Cons: Serves meat
