Best Ethiopian Food - Edit
Was very excited. Took a trip to California and this was on my list of places to go. My family still eats meat when we are out but did not miss it when eating at Rahels. We decided to go for buffet and it was quiet. Staff was very nice. There were lots of buffet options. Everything was very flavorful. I hope to go back one day.

The food here is soooo good and the flavors unlike any other restaurant. Love it and love that it is vegan. Portions are huge and delicious. Parking is tough but worth it.

Delicious range of flavors and textures - Edit
The all you can eat buffet is a steal at $12.95. I have to admit that I couldn’t resist a second plateful, making myself too full to try the vegan baklava. 😭 Oh well, I’ll just have to come back and give it another go. 😊

the flavors are so rich! - Edit
So the core of their menu are lentils and beans with different curries and omg i couldnt believe the flavors. They had so much depth and richness. Looking at the pictures i was a little hesitant about eating here but im glad i went. And cant wait to go back. A tip i have is to use the little rolled up taco looking thing as a tortilla. Your supposed to scoop up the beans with it and eat it like that. Me and my boyfriend didnt know until we saw people doing it while we were walking out.

Really good food, cute spot. - Edit
I came here for the all you can eat buffet and it was absolutely delicious. A bit different as i've never had Ethiopian before but it was a welcome change. I wanted to try the mango cake but they were out when I was there, and service took kind of long for there being only a few customers, but I had a good experience over all.

Cons: Slow service, they were out of cake:(

Rude Customer Service, mediocre ambiance but Good Food - Edit
I went out to dinner here for the first time recently with two friends.
Read moreWe ordered a platter to share as well as one additional dish. When the platter arrived we politely asked if the other dish was on the way but the server (owner I think) replied extremely defensively "you didn't order anything else!!!" But the three of us all remember that it was definitely ordered. She repeated several times that we did NOT order anything else instead of apologizing and fixing the mistake. This rude response took the joy out of the meal a bit.
The food was delicious! But poor customer service, uncomfortable chairs and poor decor would be some cons.

A buffet is always a smart move - Edit
I hadn't tried Ethiopian food before this visit, but was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. I wasn't always clear on what I was eating, but it filled me up and I have few complaints.

Finger food - Edit
We loved most of the food that was served but the trouble I had was that you have to eat it with a wrap instead of forks , all would of been fine but I found the wrap very bitter so whatever you would take it would give that bitterness/ sauerkraut like taste... Big fan of those lentils though.
Read morePros: tasty vegan food/ home made , not greasy food /not oily , friendly owners and servers

The stewed lentils are delicately seasoned. The vegetables are wonderfully spiced. The injera is perfectly spongy and tangy. Great service. I've been coming here for years.

red lentil love - Edit
Went with a group and ordered a sampler with sambussa to share with 5 people. My favorite is the red lentil dish, but everything is delicious and it is fun to be able to taste different things and mix and match flavors. Sat in the hut, which was shipped over from Ethiopia and reassembled in the restaurant. Beautiful presentation and very friendly service.

Our favorite restaurant in LA! - Edit
My husband and I eat here literally every time we come to Los Angeles. Service is wonderful, atmosphere is wonderful, most importantly, it's the best Ethiopian food we've ever had (and we eat Ethiopian almost once a week.) We've eaten here a dozen times over the last few years. Order the veggie feast and eat your heart out!! :)
