Winning The Raffle - Edit
Though admittedly this is quite a specialised listing, it never hurts to know your options when it comes to festive feasting. This is especially true if you’re looking for a measure of grandeur while tucking into your sprouts; something that this impressive ballroom setting provided in (Santa) sackfuls.

I wish I could be complimentary about the entertainment. The vocalist was, unfortunately, diabolical. However, I did find that they improved/became tolerable after I quaffed a fair few glasses of wine.
Dotted amongst the main spread were a number of entirely serviceable dishes, the best of which were the muhammara and the sprouts with chestnuts, but it was in the dedicated vegan section where the real jewels lay, and I wrought devastation on nearly all of them. Mounds of meaty, succulent meatballs, swathes of crisp faux chicken nuggets, lashings of creamy mashed potatoes, and an embarrassment of fudgy brownies: this was all just the tip of a very delicious iceberg.
I, for one, had a very merry Christmas thanks to this abundant, high-quality spread, and I would have no qualms about doing it all again next year.
