AWESOME PLACE! Needs volunteer workers? - Edit

Where's plum bistro helping out there chain Resturant??? AMAZONG FOOD, amazing atmosphere..it's all good. But you get more than 6 people in there and they are too packed. It might just take them hours to get your food out..I don't blame them

miss nomer 15 Feb 2018 - I'm not sure how affiliated they are with plum anymore -- I couldn't find mention of quickie too on plum's current website (though I was able to find a menu on there using my google fu).

Best Sandwiches and Burgers - Edit

Food was 5 stars my friend and I split the smokey mushroom melt sandwich and the crazy Jamaican burger! I preferred the sammie and she preffered the burger, defiantly the burger was a more interesting flavor not something you can get just anywhere. They know how to cook their seitan! Great atmosphere. Prices are kinda steep but pretty normal for a vegan place. Eat here you won't regret it. Also the salad and fries were both A too!!!

Pros: huge selection, big portions

Cons: pricey

Amazing food if you can get past the service - Edit

Sometimes the server can be very pleasant, other times it’s the total opposite unfortunately. The food is delicious nonetheless & I will continue to return because it’s one of the few veg gems in the Tacoma area.

Some of my favorite dishes are:
Jalapeño Mozzarella Burger
Lovers Club
Seitan Parm
Vegan TV Dinner
Mac & Yease

Pros: Quality vegan comfort food, Nice atmosphere

Cons: Service is inconsistent

Wonderful Food! - Edit

We are extremely happy we found Quickie Too! Everything on their menu has been delicious and we should know, were there at least once a week. Mac-n-Yeaze, Hush Puppies and the Fremont Philly are my favorites. Their smoked Tofu is awesome!!
On Sundays and only Sundays, they have a brunch menu, and are very busy!
Sometimes the wait can be a little long, but the food is so worth it!! They have relaxing music playing, sit down and chill, life is stressful enough..great food is on its way!

Pros: An owner who cares about the ingredients she uses.

Cons: Would love more breakfast

money fraud - Edit

Food was good, but they write in there own tips. My $4 tip became a $40 tip when it hit my account. The owner was EXTREMELY rude when trying to deal with this, lied and then hung up on me. There food was not worth the hassle.

best food ever! - Edit

Great place, super awesome menu. Clean place and great service, super friendly. Took the family here for lunch and not everyone is vegan in my family but everybody loved the food. They said they would totally come back here again. It was a great experience for all.

Pros: super delicious vegan options

Cons: only one location here in the northwest.

We love Quickie Too!! - Edit

Very laid back restaurant. You can jam to the reggae tunes while you wait for your food. the Mac and Yease was off the hook delicious!! We always Oder our own because there's no way we'd be sharing. The sweet potato fries were excellent. They only give a tiny amount of ketchup... but didn't really need it because the SPF were good on its own.

Pros: Mac and Yease, Did I already mention the Mac and Yease?, It's all Vegan. So many yummy choices!!

Cons: Mac & Yease could be a bigger plate. So GOOD!

Love it here! - Edit

Every dish I've ever had here is delicious! The service can sometimes be painfully slow, but most of the time the quality of the meal makes up for the wait! Always our go-to for good, hearty vegan food.

Delicious! - Edit

Me and my girlfriend have wanted to try this place for a while now, and today we finally did! Cozy little spot full of posters with reggae music playing. The food was delicious! I had the Jamaican style burger, my girlfriend got the mushroom and seitan sandwich, and our little one had the kids' serving of their mac n yeas. Of course, I tried everything, and it was all great. The macaroni was 2-year-old approved, so that is a plus as well. We also had a strawberry shake which was AMAZING. If you haven't tried this place, I would highly recommend it.

Pros: All vegan!, Delicious, Kids menu

Cons: A little pricey (but show me a vegan restaurant th

I love this place! - Edit

This is one of my favorite vegan sources in Tacoma. The food is consistently yummy, service is friendly, and the menu lets you sample lots of things in one meal. Kind of a diner atmosphere, with reggae posters and a counter. Quickie Too is also a good option for homestyle brunch on Sundays. The omnivorous friend who went with me absolutely loved the pancakes. The restaurant also has a nice mom-and-pop feel that lets you know you're supporting a community business. Highly recommended.

Pros: Great vegan home cooking, Friendly staff, Easy parking

Cons: Service can be a little slow

Worth the wait - Edit

We have been trying to stop here for the last 3 years but it has never worked out. Finally stopped by today, it was well worth the wait. The service was great and the food was even better. We did the Shakes Strawberry & Coconut/Banana. We both did burgers Jamaican Burger and the Big Burger which were excellent.

The best vegetarian restaurant I've ever eaten in - Edit

I've been a vegetarian for many years and eaten in vegetarian restaurants all across America and Europe (I travel for work). And my two favorite places are this one and Cornucopia in Dublin. I can't decide which one I like better, but it very well could be Quickie Too. I've been here 15-20 times and I always look forward to the next time I can come. The variety of amazing food is truly astonishing.

Pros: variety, flavor

Cons: The service is a little slow but it's worth it

Amazing and scrumptious! WOW. - Edit

My husband and I both had the "Signature Plate" on a Sunday morning. We enjoyed every bite; smoked tofu, tempeh, roasted potatoes, tofu scramble, biscuit, polenta with gravy, blueberry muffin. Incredible! We were in Tacoma to drop our daughter at the train station. It's a rare occasion to be in Pierce County. We looked at the Happy Cow app, this place was nearest. What a fantastic surprise. A delicious, hearty meal, casual atmosphere, great jazz playing in the background. Our daughter had the waffles and she loved them! Would certainly come here again.

Drooling - Edit

I am local to the area and for some reason hadn't been until now. I regret not finding this restaurant sooner!!! I enjoyed the "Southern Comfort" supper and inhaled the Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and collard greens. The tofu steak was good but I should have gone with a tempeh or seitan. The Mac and cheese is the best vegan Mac I've ever had NO DOUBT. Like other reviews have noted service was a little slow but they are friendly and the food is well worth any waiting.

Pros: DELICIOUS food , Local family owned and operated since 1991, Quirky and unique atmosphere

Cons: Was very hot inside

Delicious! - Edit

We were driving back to Seattle, and used our Happy Cow app to find a place in Tacoma to get a quick bite. What a delightful lunch we had at Quickie Too. I had the Jamaican style Tempeh, lettuce, and tomato sandwich. My husband had the Reuben. Both were spot on delicious! Thank you Happy Cow for the tip!

Will not be giving another try - Edit

I attempted to call ahead to see if there was a wait and I couldn't get an answer at the restaurant. I called five times and not once was the phone picked up. When we walked in the place was near empty and we weren't even greeted by staff. We decided we would still give it a try but when we got the brunch menu it was different from what was online. We left and went down the street to a cafe instead. I don't care if it's the best vegan restaurant in town, I'm not going to dine somewhere the that poor of service.

Cons: dirty dishes out on the counter, poor service

Surprising! - Edit

We got a tip to try this place on our way fro Seattle to Portland. I may just be ignorant of the area, but I wasn't expecting much in the way of vegan cuisine in Tacoma.

My partner and I split a salad, the buffalo mac and yease, the Sweet Jamaican, and a cookie. I am actually looking forward to the next time I can pass through Tacoma!

Very yummy, large portions - Edit

The food here is so delicious, but prepare for either leftovers, or a very heavy stomach! They are a bit pricy, but the portions are huge. I wouldn't call it "junk food", but it is very heavy. Service is a bit slow, so give yourself some time. So worth it though!

Pros: Delicious, 100% vegan, large portions

Cons: pricy , slow service, odd hours

Stopped off for lunch today on the way back from Bellingham. We had stopped by yesterday but they close Tuesdays. So glad we made the effort. I had the Smokey Mushroom Melt and Ann had the Seitan Quesadilla. They were both out of this world. If you are anywhere within 50 mile of Tacoma GO THERE!!! The service was so friendly and helpful. We shall be going there again, not soon enough though. Thank you Quickie.

Pros: Food fabulous, Staff great

Cons: NONE

best vegan food ever - Edit

I have been vegan for 14 years and have eaten all over the country including New York City and San Francisco, this is the best vegan food I have ever had bar none. Quite possibly the best food I've ever had. The food takes a long time, especially when it's busy but it is well worth the wait. Try the Mac n Yease!

Pros: fantastic food, great music , friendly staff

Cons: slow , somewhat pricey

don't judge the food by the building! - Edit

When I pulled up I was a little hesitant. I wasn't even sure it was still in operation. But I looked back on Happy Cow at the reviews and the most recent one was 2 weeks ago and everyone was raving about the food; so I went in. Now I too want to rave!! My meal was so yummy!! I had a burger with fries and a milkshake! It was amazing! I'm from out of town and staying close by and can't wait to go back tomorrow and try something else off the very full menu!
Don't let the outside fool you!

MissLo 13 Aug 2016 - I too pulled up and was taken completely aback- is it still in business? do I "really" want to eat "in there"? Thanks! I'll go back and give it a try now (laughing).
