Tasty, cheap, ventilated

Great option to have lunch in Cijin, probably the only vegetarian/vegan place in the whole island, as most stands on Qi Jin Old Street are seafood.
The restaurant is very easy to find, just to the right side of Tianhou Temple, which you will see soon after getting off the ferry.
Staff is cooking outside, just by the entrance. You can go in where they have several tables and plenty of fans on, very nice after going around the island in the heat.

The food is fairly simple but super tasty. Staff speaks a little English and can resolve any doubts. They will also tell you if you are ordering too much or too little, which as tourist can be a bit difficult to assess.

We had tomato slices, very refreshing with a delicious sauce, dry noodles which come with seitan and some veggies, and dumplings. 195 NT$ for the whole meal (includes service fee). Utensils, sauces and water are self service on a corner on the right side of the restaurant

Pros: Good food, Friendly staff, Cheap

Lovely and cheap veggie dishes

Not a sushi restaurant. Great dumplings, noodles, soup and tofu. It seems like everything is vegetarian maybe even vegan.

Very fair pricing and probably one of the only veggi friendly restaurants on the island.

Very friendly and english speaking staff.
