Trades at festivals rather than a permanent spot

Now they are at festivals and markets so check out their socials. We had the last Moroccan Scramble croissant and it was really tasty. I also had the satay skewers which I enjoyed.

We found out on the Saturday that this food truck has just started trading and it was a lovely evening so we went for dinner. They are trading at Ascot Lot and it has a nice setup there with chairs and tables outside. I ordered the momos (8 pieces) and my partner had the samosa chaat. I really enjoyed the momos and the sauce they came with was tasty. It was enough for me. My partner enjoyed the samosa chaat too. They have plates and their own cutlery which means less wastage too.

Great vegan meal options

Food truck/tent with so many options; bao, tacos, tiramisu. Had the samosa chaat, and the taco’s, awesome flavours.

(Big Vegan Market, Melbourne and Vegan Vegout Southside, Mordialloc).

3.5 stars?

Went during the vegan market
You’ll get a buzzer for when the food is ready. I ordered the Korean fried chicken out of mushroom. I like that it comes with a slaw on the side
Portion was ok-small for 16$. I liked the sauce, but could have been a bit more spicy. Mushrooms were crispy, but mit felt like the main component was batter rather than mushrooms

Delicious crispy roti and prawn taco

I had seen pictures of the Roti Roll which looked amazing, so was really keen to go here for dinner. The night we went, they had been experimenting and added cheese to the Roti Roll, which made it really nice and, well, cheesy. It was tasty, but I unfortunately couldn't detect the chutney or yoghurt.
We also got the garlic butter roti which was crispy and had a light basting of delicious chilli oil, which meant it overpowered the garlic butter taste, but I loved the chilli oil taste anyway.
We also ordered the prawn bao, which had delicious crispy prawns with salsa and gaucamole. I realised afterwards, I don't actually like the texture of bao buns, and wonder if they would do this in the taco instead.
Oh the BEST part was they have their own reusable plates and bowls! I wish other places would do this, as I often forget to bring my own.
When we were leaving they offered us a tiramisu for free, it comes in a reusable jar, which you get 50c back upon returning it to them. I forgot to take a picture of it. I thought the cream was very soft, and there was a high cream to biscuit ratio. I also suspect the biscuits used are speculoos/Biscoff. My partner loved the tiramisu but I prefer the more traditional style.

Tried the prawn tacos and omg they are AMAZZING. Crispy prawns, tasty guacamole, and fresh salso.

Better than rabbit food

I have eaten from here a few times, and each time have enjoyed what I ordered.

The satay chickn skewers with satay were so tasty with fresh cucumber and plenty of the sauce. The skewers were cooked to perfection. I've also had a few different bao dishes. Each one was so fresh, with amazing flavours.

Friendly staff that make each dish individually after you order. Which also means, you may have to wait a little bit.

There is always lots of people ordering from them whenever i have see the Purple Rabbit at an event. I am guessing many of them, like me, have tasted the food before and are coming back for more!!

hop to it

Get down and support this friendly, vegan small business. Their truck is tiny but they offer quite a varied menu plus rotating specials. It's fun to share a lot of snacky plates. The first dish to catch my eye was the Korean fried mushrooms. The batter was crisp, the mushrooms meaty, but the sauce was more sweet than spicy when I would have preferred it the other way around. I bet they are delicious in a bao. I also ordered a vish taco, made from banana blossom, which I usually love. Theirs seemed to be marinated in nori, before being crumbed and fried, which gave it a strong fishy flavour that was a bit overpowering for me but if you love the taste of the sea, go ahead! We also shared the croquettes from the specials board, filled with melt-in-your mouth potato and pea curry. My husband chose the crispy chicken bao, which was soft and fluffy with creamy coleslaw and crispy chick'n patty. He couldn't go past the satay skewers with homemade peanut sauce and succulent chick'n chunks. We sampled all these tasty bites for under $60 and left very full!

Amazing

Honestly some of the best Nepalese food I've had. The flavours in the croissant chat were so good, and the satay skewers were great (I could eat a bunch of these as a meal alone). The owners are also so lovely! So excited to try the rest 😃

Great food and friendly staff

100% vegan food truck serving Asian style street food. My partner and I had the Nepalese style dumplings and smashed somosa. Both were absolutely delicious. Small business who just opened. Would highly recommend trying.
