Amazing as always! - Edit
We love Purezza (so much we even went to the Camden branch on our wedding day!) and this trip was as great as ever!
Read moreThis branch is much smaller than the Camden one but it has a nice cosy decor and ambience. Our server was super friendly and made us feel very comfortable and welcome.
They have a 3 small plates for £18 lunch offer but we had a 50% off pizza voucher so we went for that instead. We got the voucher through their mailing list - I’d definitely recommend signing up as they don’t overdo the emails and they sometimes have great deals like 50% off!
We went for the Four Cheese Pizza and Black Truffle Pizza and they were both delicious as ever! The sourdough base is delicious (they also have alternatives including gluten free) and the toppings and flavours are just excellent as well. Both pizzas were absolutely delicious and I’d highly recommend. They were both great but if I had to pick I would say the flavour of the Black Truffle edged it. Both ones we chose also featured Honestly Tasty cheeses which if you haven’t tried on their own are available in Marks and Spencer and are also really delicious!
I also like that they have gender neutral toilets and sustainable toilet paper. Purezza is just awesome and I would highly recommend a visit!
Pros: Delicious food, Super friendly server, Cosy ambience

Gluten-free a bit disappointing - Edit
We came down specially from London and managed to get a seat at the bar on a Saturday night luckily as they don't take bookings for small groups. The sourdough pizzas coming out of the kitchen looked super puffy and amazing and the range of pizzas on the menu were all really tempting. I went for a pizza and my husband went for a burger; a pea protein patty in a folded over pizza base bun. He loved his burger, but my gluten-free pizza was a big disappointment. It was thin and crisp, like a regular shop bought gluten-free base and nothing like the puffy sourdough things everyone else was having. I appreciate vegan places that do gluten-free options, but when it costs about £2.50 more and is nowhere near as good, it's a bit sad. Perhaps I should have gone for a naturally gluten-free options like the raw wrap and probably will if we come again. As I say, the gluten-y vegan options looked amazing so I'd still give the place 4 stars, but please make the gluten-free options a bit more comparable!

After a long day of driving we thought we would try this place after seeing the reviews on Happy Cow. We had the Garlic bread, Smoke Burger and a pizza. All were delicious, well seasoned and really filling. We even ordered a raw Tiramisu for the drive home.

Proper pizza - Edit
Italian pizzaiolo and a proper sourdough Base as well as San Marzano tomatoes should give you a great indication how good their pizza is. I loved the choice, from basic marinara and Margherita to more fancy ones. We had Margherita and parmigiana and both were top quality. Shame I live so far to Brighton otherwise I'd be a regular. Well done.

We had the Vulcano pizza and Tiramisu as takeaway and walked down to eat them by the pier. Both were a treat and would certainly visit again to try more options.

Best Vegan Pizza - Edit
Loved the food here! We got takeaway as we made the schoolboy error of turning up without a booking on a Saturday night. There was an hour and 45 minute wait for a table but only half an hour wait for takeaway (yay) so we got a takeaway and are our feast on the beach! Which was amazing! Even my omni boyfriend was impressed! We had cheesy bites and cheesy garlic bread for starters and for mains my boyfriend had calzone and I had the cheesus! Was so tasty!

Super friendly staff! Saturday night was 1.5hr wait. We had a beer locally whilst we waited. Totally worth it!
Read moreWe had the Pesto Manifesto on a hemp flour base and the Parmigiana Party. They were both amazing, especially the hemp flour based. Who could have thought pizza can be so nutritious!? We preferred the Parmigiana Party.
We tried both house red and white wines which were delicious.

Artisan pizza - Edit
What a luxury to eat a wood-fired vegan pizza with excellent ingredients! You can tell that they are serious about food and their concept. It tasted fresh and healthy even for a pizza and less artificial than many other vegan cheese options. Service was attentive and friendly. I wish there was a place like this in Stockholm! I'd be there all the time if I lived in Brighton.

Vegan Pizza Eutopia Heaven - Edit
Anyone visiting Brighton who doesn't visit Purezza are missing out on the best pizzas
Read moreWe chose Chick Magnet and Vulcano and we could immediately tell this was going to be a pizza extravaganza. We have eaten Neopolitan pizza in Naples, the birthplace of pizza, easily recognisable by the leopard spot markings and soft plump sourdough base, all traits of Purezza's pizza.
There is no one word to describe the pizza, so I will use some of the ones that spring to mind, lush, awesome, delicious, scrumptious, perfect, the list could go on. The homemade cheese was fabulous and I am not a big vegan cheese fan, the mix of toppings spot on, perfect seasoning on a top quality base.
We were full but no way were we missing out on raw Tiramisu, a pudding I have never eaten, so I was excited and expectations were high. The Tiramisu did not disappointment, it was so creamy, with a gorgeous underlying coffee flavour and a delicious date base.
We loved Purezza, as obviously do many others, seeing how busy it was, I doubt if all their customers are plant based or vegan, but who cares with food this good, its a vegan triumph and certainly lives up to the hype.

Epic Vegan Eats - Edit
I don't know why it's taken me so long to write a review of Purezza as it's one of my very favourite places in Brighton. I went there when they first opened and I loved the food and they've only gotten better with changes in the decor and menu. The staff are always lovely and I don't think that you can go wrong with any of their pizzas, I especially love anything with the beetroot faux meat and the cheesy dough balls are the best I've ever eaten.

Exceptional food - Edit
What can I say, this place is all vegan, the staff friendly and helpful despite it being super busy. The cheese platter was superb, offering about 8 different flavours of "homemade" vegan cheeses. The only quibble would be the stingy portion of three small crackers that came with them but the grapes were fresh and sweet and sufficient!
Read moreThe pizzas were on a lovely soft "bready" base. I had the mushroom one and my partner asked and received a complicated "special" that she loved.
The dessert options included a sugar free Tiramisu and a sugar free creme brulee`!!!! We - well I ! -had to try both and I make no apologies for such gluttony. The Creme Brulee was a superb avocado and cream concoction that suprised and delighted me. I do love it when I find a "new" vegan dessert!
On top of all this food pleasure is the fact that the pizza was not by any means the most expensive we have had of late. Prices range from £5 to about £12.50 which makes it very competitive with the likes of Fed By Water and Picky Wops (both in London, so for Brighton Purezza reigns supreme!)
This place will be a must on all future trips to Brighton!
Pros: Excellent cheese platter, Excellent pizzas, Excellent desserts
Cons: Not very generous with cheese biscuits., Don't do deliveries to London.

Birthday Lunch - Edit
I came here for my birthday today as I saw it on my happycow app and it looked rather nice. The staff were very friendly and myself and my family felt very welcome.
Read moreWe had the cheesy bites for starters with some olives and it was very delicious! Although, I would say to watch out as the cheese was piping hot!
For my main I had the calzone and it was rather nice. The dough tasted incredible and all in all a nice calzone. The only downside was I didn't enjoy the ricotta cheese and the mock chorizo sausage inside my calzone.
Pros: welcoming
Cons: not all the food was great
