I loved this place since 2014. Closed now for good. No sign directing to a new location.

Cosy place - Edit
This place was super cosy! Inside is also a small bakery. The staff was very friendly. We ate the spring rolls, vegetable loin heads and steamed buns. It all tasted great, especially the spring rolls. I liked this place!

There is some good food. - Edit
With pure lotus, it wasn't intuitive. The simplest dishes were the best and the complicated ones were disappointing.
Read moreThe celery cashew dish and the sweet sour fried lotus root was good.
Pros: Also have a bakery
Cons: Some of the dishes are a hit and miss

Good restaurant at central location - Edit
Went twice to Pure Lotus. It is more expensive because of its location so we shared a drink and mainly ordered 2 dishes. First time our guilin noodles tasted great, but the second time it was too oily and bland. Sweet and sour tofu was silken tofu so quite mushy with a battered outside softened by the sauce. Preffered a bit more bite. Second time we took the spicy local tofu, but that also was too greasy. It's nice food, but the quality seems to vary. Still overall pleased.
Read moreNB: the bread is available for take away and vegan. Costs 18rmb and makes a great breakfast.
Pros: Quick service, Good location/easy to reach by foot, Bread is available for take away (breakfast)
Cons: Greasy/oily food, Not a lot of vegan options , Expensive because of West street

Food was okay - Edit
The Guilin Noodles weren't bad, but the Pi Dan wasn't great. The sweet and sour tofu was too sweet and the tofu was too bland. The deep fried lotus root thing wasn't what we expected but wasn't horrible. basically everything needed a pinch more seasoning/sauce.

Cons: More flavor needed

Minus 1 star for not being fully vegan - Edit
It was great! Cute atmosphere, cold local beer, lots of vegan options. The pictures don’t do the lotus balls justice... they were perfectly prepared, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Very unique dish.

Nice vegetarian restaurant - Edit
This was a great find on a very busy mall. Plenty of vegan options. The food was nicely presented, delicious and plentyful. They also sell breads (eg baguettes and batards) and coffee.

Still hungry because not many vegetarian option in Li River Cruise ? Don't Worry...after disembark from the cruise, you will be in the middle of west street. Just find shop no 26, and your stomach will be happy. They provide both western and chinese food. Yummy....

Such good food! The lotus balls were super delicious and I had a spicy tofu that was to die for as well. The menu is family style. They also have seasonal menu items. I will definitely go back.

great food, nice place - Edit
While in Yangshuo we had two evening meals in Pure Lotus. Each time we spent less than we did when eating in Mood Food.
Read moreThe food was really nice, we had the veg curry, a similar spicy tofu type dish, fried noodles and the "fried parcels"
The parcels were generic deep fried veg spring rolls like you'd get back home so not too exciting. No complaints at all about the rest of the food and the large number of waiters there meant we got served fast. The place is really nicely decorated inside, menu has plenty of choice.
