Pure Living Bakery Cafe - Altgasse

I went there after visiting Schoenbrunn palace because I really wanted to have a bagel. Even my (omnivore) travel guide suggested to try this place and I had high expectations. The cafè is relly nice and cozy, however the food is nothing special at all. We tried two different vegan bagels and they were served cold, with just few slices of tofu, cucumber, tomato and some vegan spread or hummus, basically something that anyone can replicate and make it better at home. The food is also quite expensive. There was also a vegan cake on display but I was so disappointed by the bagels that I decided not to try it. Maybe I just picked the wrong day to eat there, but I would not recommend it. If you are done with your visit in Schoenbrunn and you can wait for 20 more minutes before having lunch just take the U-bahn and go back to city centre.

There is nothing around in Heitzing near the Schonbrunn Palace for vegans except for this cool little place. Their new menu has gone mega vegan friendly. Four different made to order bagels with Hummus, Vegan cream cheeze, and different tofus. Plus two great vegan salads. They use fresh and natural ingredients and have normally two vegan cakes..one is chocolate and fab. Coffees are bio. Soya milk and healthy smoothies they use coconut milk. Their bigger cafe in 7th has vegan ice creams too that are great. (See my other review) Good place for breakfast, lunch or tea and they do takeaway.
