Nachos...so, so, so good - Edit

Pura Vida is a vegan bar restaurant that serves pizza, burgers, and tapas. I got the nachos, which was a large helping of round tortilla chips piled high with seasoned soy meat, black beans, peppers, cilantro, and some bomb guacamole. This was unbelievably good :) I also got a slice of cake.

Pizza - Edit

I Went to this place for dinner on my last night in Madrid. It was a little too loud, because it was a very small space and we got to sit on bar stools instead of real chairs because the room downstiara was reserved. I ordered the spicy pizza with vegan mozzarella, chorizo, bacon and soy bits for almost 15 euros, which I think was a is a little too excoencive, but understandable for a meal in a big city. The pizza itself tasted pretty good, but it wasn't spicy and they I barerly got any of the vegan meat toppings, I could've taken the margaritha and saved a couple of bucks. My friend got a burger which came along with some fries, this was a little more affordable and went for around 8€. Overall I really liked my pizza and my friend really liked the burger, if I'm coming back to Madrid I'm definitely returning.

Pros: Delicious food

Cons: Small space, Bad wibes from some servants

Cozy and amazing food. - Edit

This place is the perfect combination of a bar and a restaurant.
The food is amazing.
The place is a bit small, but I think you can't ask more space from a bar and it feels nice and cozy.

Pros: Food, Location, Part of the money goes to donations.

Cons: Sometimes can be packed.

Friendly staff, great food. - Edit

I went there with my friends and we shared a pizza, burger and nachos. They brought us some tapas while we waited though service was quite fast considering that the place was packed that day. Everything was really tasty and I liked the fact that they donate a percentage of every burger they sell to an animal rescue foundation. I also tried one of their cheesecakes and it was one of the best I've ever had. I found myself going back almost everyday while I was in Madrid and staff were always super nice and food consistently good. Definitely going back!

Pros: Staff, Food , Atmosphere

Cons: None so far

vegan pizza - Edit

I readed a lot of good reviews and saw coll photos about Pura Vida and decided to go yesterday.
I ordered a Margarita Pizza with vegan bacon...look delicious..taste...disgusting. I don't know why, maybe the mix of spices, maybe the vegan cheese (worst i ever tried, really bad) or the bacon but I COULDN'T EAT THE PIZZA.
It's very expensive , 14 euros...i don't recommend this place.
Furthermore, i found few little insects jumping in my food...

4 cheese pizza - Edit

im sad to say that this was really horrible. their 4 cheese pizza was the worst pizza i've ever had, and i've had a lot of pizza in my life. and €13 for disgusting pizza is too much. I had one slice, and then i got sick as soon as i got home. But to be fair, the guys working there was really nice and sad sorry for the bad pizza, so hopefully they'll make it better until next time. :)

Oso Itxura ona - Edit

Orain dela aste batxuk lokal honetara joan nintzen eta haien saltxitxa-ogitartekoa daztatu nuen, zoragarria zegoen. Zaporeduna oso gazia edo koipetsua egon barik. Bere bizkotxoa ere probatu nuen eta oso urtsua zegoen. Taberna begano gehienetan olio eta gatza gehiegi erabiltzen dute janarian, baina taberna honetan oso pozik atera nintzen. bar onetako janaria gluten gehiegi ez izateko kompromisua asko gustatu zitzaidan. Pertsonala oso atsegina da eta lekua oso erosoa.

A couple of weeks ago I went to this bar and ordered one of their hot dogs and it was really nice. It was very tasty and chewy without bein too oily or salty, which I find very often and vegan bars. I liked their compromise not to overdo gluten in their products. I had a chocolate spoon cake as well and It was very nice and juicy. The staff is very friendly and the place is very nicely decorated and welcoming.

Pros: Nice vibe, Great food, variety

Average fast food - Edit

When entering the place, we found yourselves in a nice and cosy, bar-like ambience. Since all tables were currently occupied, we were led downstairs to another bunch of tables. Unfortunately, the atmosphere felt a little colder (while the air definitely was much hotter). We decided to get a beer which was brought to us quickly and tasted great. We checked the menu and realised that the pizzas were quite pricey (11-15 Euros), so we went for the much cheaper burger platter. The patties were made of vegetables and covered with a slice of cheese, yet they could have been a little spicier. Combined with raw tomatoes and onions, the overall temperature of the food could have been better, too. However, the french fries were some of the best ones I'd had in a while, so I still consider the place without doubt as recommendable.

Pros: Great fries, Tasty beer

Cons: Slightly inconvenient ambience, Patty not spicy enough

Croquetas - Edit

Nice little spot here. Our friends LOVE the croquetas. The service is lovely but it is not fast, as quick as they can be though! Id need to try more of the menu as the burger didnt blow me away but the other food looks great

Pros: Open air bar, Croquetas, Smiles
