Gorgeous service, delicious food - Edit
Eating at Pura Vida feels like going to your gran’s house for a home cooked meal. The service is warm and friendly and the food is authentic and delicious. You can have their 3 course menu of the day (mine was a salad, a silverbeet soup and a mushroom lasagne) or pick from their list of other mains as well.

I speak no Espanyol and their English is very limited so ensure to bring google translate along if you’re travelling without much knowledge of Espanyol.

Un sitio superacogedor; parece que estés en el comedor de casa, desde donde ves la cocina y lo que están preparando. La comida es sencilla, natural y saludable. Sirven un menú fijo del día y además tienen alguna cosa más, no mucho. En mi caso, unos tacos. El precio es inmejorable, 90 pesos el menú con la bebida (agua de jamaica). El personal, muy agradable. Para repetir sin duda.

You can not eat cheaper than that! We had a menu of the day which came with a drink, salad, soup and a main and we also had a quesadilla and a burrito. They were both exactly the same but they were tasty!

It was great finding this place here in Tuxtla. I’m traveling in Mexico for 2 weeks now and I never really had problems in finding alternatives, people are super friendly and accommodating (also thanks frijoles!). But I must admit that it’s always a great pleasure finding a 100% vegan restaurant here in Tuxtla! They have many typical Mexican dishes among others (soups, falafel, salads…) and prices are not high (more expensive than street food but not exaggerated, 90 pesos for a full menu and 34/45 for tacos or quesadillas)

Pura vida is wonderful. I went for breakfast and what they offered where combo plates that included a água del dia, fruit bowl, and main dish. It was a full meal for an amazing price. The best part about it was that the staff was really nice and the place itself was very chill. It's the only vegan spot in Tuxtla and it's a great one.

Duking it out in Tuxtla where vegan options arent abundant, Pura Vida isnt just tossing the vegans a bone in the desert, its actually quite good. It isnt totally a 5 star place but since they are doing good in a tough city for vegans my ratings are swayed upwards. Everything is pretty goooood. Ive liked their daily breakfast menus both times Ive had it. On the main menu, the burrito and taco Ive liked best. If you can eat, you might need multiple items off the main menu. Also prices are good, its cute place, and the guys who run the place are nice.

There weren't too many options in this city for Vegan restaurants and gave Pura Vida a try and the service was very good. The portions were very good for the price. The ambience was really good as well. I wish they had wifi since they place was nice and quite but it was ok. The food could have been a bit tastier since I had tried some really good vegan restaurants in the past but I enjoyed it still.

The only vegan place in town and they can compete with the non vegan places in town. The menu has a good variety of dishes and the combo for lunch is really good value for money. Highly recommend to vegans and non vegans alike!
