Best vegan place to go in Tamarindo - Edit
Nice food place in Tamarindo with authentic dishes. Unfortunately most of the time just the half of the menu was available. The salad dressing is amazing.

Wonderful lunch spot. Nice outside in the food court and menu is diverse— including dessert! My (pre)vegan friends enjoyed their meals as well! Pad Thai and avocado toast are particularly great.

Nice place, nice food - Edit
So far I enjoyed a burrito and the cheesy fries. The portion dice is good! I was asked if I want the burrito spicy and I said no and still, I found it just a little bit spicy. For people like me who don’t like any kind of spicy it’s probably better to say you want no spicy salsa at all. The fries were yummy, plenty of cheesy sauce on them! Ingredients seem to be very fresh.
Read moreWhat I didn’t like was the staff looking a bit uninvolved. Not sure if it’s just because of their long and frequent shifts if that’s the case but if I was the only 100% vegan place in town I would be more excited to work there! And they are never stressed to get the orders ready so you can wait a bit at times.
If they had the desserts I would definitely go there a third time though!
Pros: Good freshly prepared food, All vegan, Some satiating cheap options
Cons: Limited menu, especially in off season, Waiting time can be longer, Not very excited staff

The only option 100% vegan at Tamarindo - Edit
Even though all the restaurants offers one vegan option at least, this is the only 100% vegan so far, so I could eat with no fear. The Thai curry, spring rolls and french fries are delicious. Better there than the other plaza.

Fantastic little vegan cafe - Edit
Cute quick cafe in what I would describe as an open air food court. Small menu but varied, something for everyone. Reasonably priced, a must try if you in Tamarindo.

Delicious food served fresh & fast! - Edit
We went here for lunch recently and it was a really pleasant experience! It’s a semi-outdoor food-Court type affair, so perfect if you’re looking to go eat somewhere with omnis. We ordered: a burrito with salad, tacos, spring rolls, coconut water, mango cheesecake and lime & coconut cheesecake and one of the chocolate brownie things. The standout for me was the salad dressing, a gorgeous tahini and garlic sauce that was simply delicious! The tacos were a little wet, but I really enjoyed the lentil filling. The burrito was delicious and I’d happily eat one again. Coconut water was fresh and straight from a coconut with a paper straw. Puddings were good too, although the lime cheesecake was the standout for me in terms of puddings. EDIT: have since gone back and also tried the pad Thai (excellent) and the Thai green curry. I found the curry wasn’t great, it was extremely wet and soupy; which wasn’t what I wanted. But the pad Thai was great and I’d order it again.

Some of the best tasting vegan food I’ve ever had - Edit
This place is pretty magical, it’s just a simple food stand in a small artisan foodcourt but it blew me away how good the food tasted. I had a vegan burrito, tacos, and salad on different occasions and was never disappointed.
Read morePros: High quality meals (lots of veggies) , Quick service, Filling food

Great food and nice staff! I had the Pad Thai with a big side salad and a smoothie and my friend had the lentil tacos with cheezy fries. So yummy! The portions were so big so unfortunately we couldn‘t try the desserts, but they looked yummy too.

Fully vegan restaurant - Edit
This place was awesome. The first full vegan restaurant I’ve found in Costa Rica and quite possibly the last
Read moreI had the arepas and my partner had the tu’not sandwich with some cheeZy fries to share. All of it was so good and really big portions too! We ordered so much food as we’ve found in Costa Rica that some of the portions (apart from casados) have been small but not here, I was so full after eating.
Smoothies are also excellent and there’s loads of great choices for vegans. A must if you’re in Tamarindo!
Also of note; they are moving to a food hall closer to the beach and are reopening on Wednesday I think!
Pros: great selection , delicious food , fair pricing!
