Equal parts captivating and terrifying, the interior of this pseudo-French establishment really does live up to its name. Plastered on nearly every available inch of wall, the eponymous marionettes are going to watch you dine - whether you like it or not. Thankfully, the staff here were altogether less imposing and were entirely warm and welcoming

Having made my peace with the array of - the crisp, refreshing Lion beer helped - I gladly welcomed my plate, keen to see how this incarnation stacked up.
Honestly? Not great. Though it looked rather appealing, it was severely wanting in terms of both flavour and seasoning. Another major issue was structural integrity - the patty was less cohesive than a Donald Trump rant and nigh on disintegrated into a slippery mess after just the initial bite. It wasn’t all doom and gloom though, I will say the hummus - though measly in portion - was excellent, as were the homestyle fries. Neither of these two things were enough to salvage the meal, but it was nice to have something positive to point to.
For pure novelty, and for a refreshing drink, this place might be worth poking your head in, but I wouldn’t bank on it for a quality, satiating meal.
