Really good experience - Edit
We had a really lovely meal at ‘Punjabi Curry’ in Calpe. The hospitality was excellent from the moment we arrived - friendly, relaxed and genuinely welcoming. Very accommodating and friendly with children. What really stood out was how thoughtful they were offering us samples of the dishes beforehand so we could check the level of spiciness, which was much appreciated. They were very knowledgeable about our vegan requirements and made us aware multiple times that everything we were served was vegan, which is always reassuring when you visit a non vegan place. We tried the onion bhaji, mushroom poori, papadam with sauces, chana masala, tarka dal, brinjal bhajia, aloo gobi and mushroom curry, along with basmati rice and plain roti. Everything was full of flavour and beautifully cooked. A big plus is that they offer half portions, which was fantastic as it lets you try more dishes without overordering. We really enjoyed the variety and quality of the food. We would definitely recommend this place and will happily return next time we’re visiting Calpe.

Aunque no es vegano como tal, tiene muchas opciones que son de por si veganas. Además el personal del restaurante te resuelve cualquier duda muy amablemente y saben cuáles platos recomendarte. El trato genial, y la comida buenísima.

A restaurant where staff understand what vegan food is! - Edit
I've eaten here when in Calpe before, but was vegetarian then. Now following a vegan diet I wanted to check diary or egg in choices. The waiter immediately confirmed, not only no egg or dairy, but said...fully vegan, for our starters and for the main, said...absolutely, we will make it vegan. Other than Plant Shack, this was the first time in a Calpe restaurant where the staff fully understood a vegan diet.

I would definitely recommend and would have given five stars if the app allowed for a non vegan restaurant.
We had onion bahjee, vegetable samosa to start, and I had vegetable balti as my main. The poppadoms were fresh and not greasy, the sauces (the mint sauce is not vegan) were really tasty, and are explained when delivered (mint and yoghurt (my partner said was lovely), mango and a spicy onion salsa...which was fab. Apparently the madras is proper spicy, but I didn't taste as my partner had chicken.
Whilst the curry choices don't have vegetables as an option, they will make it vegan for you.
Pros: Friendly and knowledgeable staff., Taster for your sauce pre delivery. , Great food and value for money.
Cons: No cons-may need to book ahead in height of season
