We visited Pulse having read the reviews on here, wow, it was amazing. We had the carrot lox, mushrooms, seaweed salad and potato cakes, every one of them was delicious, we also had the cheesecake for dessert which was also lovely. Unfortunately for us it’s a 2 hr 45 min drive from where we are based but if you are anywhere near you should definitely go, it’s worth the journey!

We popped in on a Saturday afternoon. Excellent service in a nice location with a sea view. The carrot lox and carrot/apricot croquettes were exceptional starters. For mains we had the beefless casserole and moussaka. Very tasty, but also very filling and as a lunch we should have probably had something lighter. Good selection of drinks and desserts. The greek coffee is tasty too. A gem!

We visited Pulse Vegan and had a really enjoyable meal. We started with the Mushroom Carpaccio, followed by the Red Wine Meatless Beef Casserole and Moussaka for mains.

Amazing! Best food I've had in western Crete. - Edit
I don't know why but when I read the listing the first time, this place didn't catch my fancy. One night I decided to stop in for a smoothie to walk along the ocean with. Reading the menu and seeing other people's food changed my mind and I stayed for supper - it was awesome. I came back the next day for lunch. The green smoothie is great, the pizza was really special and delicious. Portions are great. One super bonus here is you can actually eat vegan food with protein that isn't chickpeas! If you're hesitating, I recommend going by and looking at what people are eating. Note: it's a bit slow to pay, if you're in a rush deal with that early.

This little gem of a restaurant is set back from the main hustle and bustle of the harbour but still with wonderful views. The food was phenomenal and the portions were great! We left with very full tummy’s and a promise to go back and try the other things on the menu that we couldn’t fit in! Highly recommend and we will definitely be heading back before our holiday ends.

Visited this evening. My wife and I had the beetroot carpaccio, Manchurian balls for starters followed by the moussaka and the stew for main. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and the location was lovely. Plenty of choice and well executed.

Wonderful menu and fantastic dishes - Edit
We tried several dishes on our visit, every single one a banger. Falafels, green Godess whipped feta, Pan pizza, Vegi Burger with cheese, mixed salad, and the battered stuffed zucchini flowers. All delicious, hope to visit again before we leave, especially to try the desserts we were too full to have this time around.

All the food here was genuinely so good that not only me but my non vegan friend loved it so much we decided to eat there again just one day later. The burger was really nice, but the main thing that we both obsessed over was the avocado/quinoa/salad budha bowl thing, it was so so tasty and usually I never order salad dishes at restaurants but this was too good. Also the location is an added bonus, the views of the sea are so nice, but because its just a little around the corner from the main promenade bit its much more quieter and relaxed compared to the chaotic old town.

Moussaka and the roasted mushroom dish were excellent ! For starters we had the tzatsiki and roasted asparagus with pistachio pesto, both were very tasty. Definitely the best restaurant in town ! The staff could be more friendly but I would warmly recommand the place anyway for the quality of the food.
