Korean Temple Food

For me, it was a new taste. I could taste the traditional salty taste of Korea and enjoy my challenge little by little. However, the explanation was not enough for me, so it was hard to understand what I was eating.

Bízz a térképben, létezik!

A képen látható adag 12.000 kóreai vonba került.

Fried mushrooms yum!

Great temple food restaurant in a spacious setting. We had the perilla seed soup with green tea sujebi, the fried mushrooms, bibimbap, and lots of banchan. This was the first time I had seen fried mushrooms at a temple food restaurant, and they were excellent. The banchan included large pieces of tofu, always appreciated. The pancakes are not as good as Dasoni, but fine. There was an interesting dish of fermented green plums (I wasn't a fan, but I appreciate trying new things). Nice side soups too.

Pros: Fried mushrooms!, Good portion sizes

Cons: Bathroom had a communal hand towel

Awesome food without alliums

A little hard to find but perfect spot for vegetarians without alliums. Just point the photos you see on HappyCow to the ladies as the menu is in Korean and English is not spoken here.

Delicious gem in Jeju

Traditional temple food, including many different side dishes. Located on top of a hill, about a 20 minute walk from nearest bus stop - worth the effort to get there! Staff is friendly, food is delicious. (Note that both Naver and Google Maps show restaurant being a couple buildings over from where if actually is. See photos)

All Vegetarian Restaurant

It's really yummy!!! I love it. Ask for no eggs if you are vegan. A little hard to drive in as the road is tight. Nice view in the morning.

Note, they sometime close before closing time. Safer to come at 5pm if you would like to have dinner.

Clean Temple Style Food

It’s fully vegetarian restaurant beside a nursing home. The view is amazing. Owners are very kind, do remember to ask for food items to be made vegan. The place is up on the mountain, would be hard to reach without a car.

Pros: Clean , Affordable

Cons: Inconvenient , Limited options
