11/10 - Edit
There are a lot of good Mexican food places in San Diego, but Pueblo is GREAT! In my opinion: by far the BEST. From the service, to atmosphere and food. 11/10. My 5 year old son and wife agree. Kid friendly. And perfect for events.

Service terrible but food was good - Edit
Service essentially was clueless about vegan options and was super dismissive and forgetful. The food was great, though.

Vegan Section on the Menu - Edit
Vegan food is rare in Pacific Beach. I am not sure why. Pueblo had an entire section on their menu dedicated vegan. We tried 3 of the dishes and they were all delicious. This is a gorgeous building/setting with outdoor seating options and a full bar. There was a wait for groups, even with reservations, but the 2 of us were able to sit and eat right away at the lovely bar. It is a short walk to the beach after your meal. You should go there if all of that sounds like what you are searching for.

Really good!! - Edit
I got the mushroom tacos and they were delicious! Even the black beans were good! My daughter got the tofu quesodilla which was good, but not her favorite. Mango maragrita was bomb. Definitely will go back!

Fine if you’re in a pinch - Edit
Us vegans are used to settling. I give them props for having a separate vegan column (had about 6-7 options) but our table unanimously thought the food was super bland with pretty mid quality of ingredients. It’s fine, not great.

Used to have great vegan options - Edit
The new chef hates vegans, removed the great options. Food is now inedible (they served me a salad with tofu straight from the package, not even cooked!)

Nice Drinks. Spotty Service. Meh Food - Edit
I’ve been here a few times with my girlfriend. Some times we’ve been here the service has been downright awful. This was especially the case in the months after COVID restrictions were eased, though our more recent visits have been better.
Read moreThey have a dedicated vegetarian and vegan menu which is a very nice touch. With that said, I’ve never been impressed by their food. Chips are often stale, guacamole can be over salted. I recently got the Portabelli Tacos and the taco shells were extremely stale. The portabello was very heavily breaded and fried, which may be appealing to some but wasn’t for me.
Wouldn’t come back for food, but they do have nice drinks and I can appreciate the offering if a vegan and vegetarian menu
Pros: Nice drinks
Cons: Spotty service, Stale food items

Great Veg Menu and pretty patio! - Edit
Great portobello tacos! I found Pueblo on Happy Cow and it did not disappoint. Delicious salsa, authentic delicious black beans to pour onto the tacos. It’s very pretty to dine and on tuesdays the Farmers market is here as well.

It’s OK - Edit
I’m happy they had Vegan options, the enchiladas were OK, they had a good flavor. I was disappointed with the beans and basically plain corn on the side.
Read moreGuacamole without cheese and the chips and salsa were good. Overpriced for what it is. I’d recommend going elsewhere if you can.
Pros: They do have vegan food, Located close-ish to the beach
Cons: Only 2-3 vegan options, Very expensive for what you get

Amazing vegan take on good old fashioned Mex food, hip vibe, great drinks - Edit
Their vegan food will blow your mind!
Read moreTraditional flavors reimagined in a trendy ambience!
They have a vegan pet of the menu, with a variety of Mexican favorites.
Some vegan options in the regular menu as well, chips and salsa and many tasty cocktails.
I love the huarache, cauliflower tacos, but my latest favorite is the mushroom-spinach enchiladas and the vegan Cobb salad is to die for!
And the michelada Is absolute bomb!
Pros: Variety of vegan options , Knowledgeable and friendly servers, Amazing cocktails and vegan wine options
