We ordered the buffalo chickpea wrap and the banh mi with a side of regular potato wedges. The wrap didn’t have any trace of buffalo, so it was a plain chickpea wrap which was pretty flavorless but edible. The banh mi tasted fairly good but only had grated carrots and no other veggies, so not quite what I expected. We were served sweet potato wedges instead of regular, and when we asked for regular were told that they were out of them - by the same employee that took our order and asked us which we wanted! We did get a refund for them and did try them, but they were burned beyond recognition, raw inside, and hadn’t been salted or seasoned at all.

Great options! - Edit
This is a super cute market that has a kitchen where fresh food is made. There were three different options: the Black Bean Burger, Tofu Bahn Mi, and Buffalo Chickpea Wrap. We tried all of them, and they were delicious! I’d recommend skipping the burger and going with the other two options because they were more fun and flavorful. The prices were also great, only about $10 each. Just be careful what time you come because the kitchen closes at different times than the market.

Good road trip find! - Edit
Had tofu Bahn mi with cup of broccoli soup. Tofu just right on crisp and roll was fresh and lovely but Sammie needed much more sauce for flavor and zing. Should have asked for more sauce. Service was fast. First trip through Wheeling, WVA so a bonus to have it as an option.

Good vegan options in a town with very few - Edit
We popped in here to get a sandwich for the road, and ended up with a tasty Bahn Mi sandwich. There were also all kinds of vegan snacks and fresh fruit and vegetables.

DELICIOUS cafe food and great market/organization - Edit
Public Market has an incredible mission of selling locally grown food from the Ohio Valley! The small market sells tons of vegan snacks, goods, fruits and veggies. The cafe in back has great vegan/vegetarian food options. I had the special of the day, a vegan burrito with Impossible meat, black beans, roasted tomato, lettuce and amazing salsa. Staff are SO friendly!
