Came here a lot when I first moved to Vallejo, but always felt not wanted, as the owner seemed to speak to me differently, compared to her positive attitude towards others, but never me. But where I stopped coming, was when I was eating outside by myself, I overheard the owner Nicole talking to someone inside & her words said, "Yeah, we always have this vegan [censored]". Which sealed the deal, that Provisions did not care for our kind. Funny, because she moved to OUR neighborhood.

I freaking loved the vegan tacos and recommend ordering fries and putting them IN the tacos 👍🏻 It’s a great place to go to appease both vegans and non vegans alike, and the vibes are immaculate.

Brilliant Vegan Cinnamon roll - Edit
Went at a busy time & service was friendly but spotty. Buddha Bowl with tofu was delicious & large enough for two meals. The cinnamon roll was a rare treat with flaky pastry & deep spice flavor. Handful of choices for vegans.

Popular Vallejo restaurant - Edit
Fairly limited vegan options but the black bean burger is tasty and the side salad is pretty big. They offer a vegan cinnamon roll that is pretty good. And there are a few other options, like maybe the soup of the day and salad of course. Otherwise I’m a little surprised there aren’t more vegan options on the menu. Seems like they would gain some local business. Service has been friendly.

I came in for a cup of coffee and asked if it was ok if I could work on my lap top while I had my cup of coffee. I was welcomed in and shown to a table with an outlet.
Read moreI was asked a few times if I wanted a refill but was not finished with my drink. I took my last sip and the lady started cleaning my table. I asked for a refill on coffee since I just finished. She filled my cup half way and told me that she needed my table for other guests. I had only been seated for an hour. She told me they didn't realize I was going to stay so long when they told me it was ok if I worked and drank my coffee. I didn't think 1 hour was unreasonable and honestly, I'm on vacation and just wanted to have a little time to drink my coffee and check emails.
The fact of the matter is that this was flat our rude. I was not seated for 2 or 3 hours. I also figured that drinking 2 cups of coffee was not unreasonable either.
UPDATE:
I paid for my cup of americano when I walked in. Then they tried to bill me for the rude 1/2 cup of drip coffee that was so rudely poured to me as I was told to leave.
I've never been so poorly treated in my entire life. Nor singled out like this in a coffee shop while I was sitting alone.
To tell someone they are welcome to stay while they drank their coffee and then to tell them they didn't realize they were going to stay so long. But was only an hour later and just finishing their drink.
I left my number on the note in case you feel like trying to repair your reputation. This employee or person was nasty. Whoever she was. Just terrible.

I live down the street from Provisions so I have tried their few vegan options. I think they’re trying really hard, but their food has made me throw up twice. It felt like dairy cross contamination. I wouldn’t trust anything claiming to be vegan that comes out of this spot. I won’t be eating there again.

I stumbled onto this place from a Facebook post. Facebook does suck tho😳 Cool place, you order at counter and find a table. I had lentil soup and BBQ Seitan sandwich. Both were the best I have had. After the meal we talked to owner and she said the menu is changed all the time. The BBQ seitan sando will be missed😞 The wife had curry dish and was happy. They will always have vegan items on menu!

I’m a new vegan and found Provisions to be so helpful as I began to figure out how to go about changing my diet. I love their delicious tofu and seitan sandwiches Bean stews and soups to go or eat in house always have a gourmet touch. House made hummus and pickled onions are very good as well. You can bring containers for them to fill up if you want to go zero waste.
