Don't eat there unless you're a meat eater.

The vegan dishes are there only so they can brag they have variety, in reality the vegan positions are awful, totally plain, I could make them myself for 10 times less than they charge for the dish. I ordered soba noodles with tofu in sauce and what I got was 2 slices of tofu with noodles in soy sauce plus veggies that came from frozen mix. Not only I left hungry and unsatisfied but also angry I had to pay so much. I do not recommend. My partner liked the non-vegan dish though.

Cons: Expensive , Plain, Little portions

Vegan sabrage !

Visited on June 2021. Outdoor seating available.

Prosta 38 seem to label themselves as a slightly upmarket, somewhat chic restaurant, with a 'gastronomic' offer. It was the single 'fine dining' restaurant with vegan options that seemed suitable for a formal family dinner (granny's birthday) in the area.

The restaurant was extremely busy both outside and inside the day we visited (a Saturday), with a classical guitarist livening up the ambiance.

Their menu is quite extensive and include five vegan options for mains: 'beetroot carpaccio', 'grilled tofu in curry marinade', 'chili sin carne', 'soba noodles with grilled tofu' and 'soba noodles with (mock) duck'. Unexpected and a praiseworthy effort.

We ordered the 'soba noodles with (mock) duck' and the 'grilled tofu in curry marinade'. Being both dishes Asian-inspired and Prosta 38 gastronomy-driven, we were expecting fresh and clean flavours and textures. Well presented and correctly cooked, both mains were, unfortunately, rather plain in flavour and lacking of excitement. Our omnivore family seemed pleased with their choices, though.

Pleasant and professional service but extremely slow (very crowded night). The restaurant decor tries to be chic and sophisticated, not sparing in crystal chandeliers and wall lamps, golden fittings and frilly curtains... but nothing as stylish as the waitress severing the top of our bottle of champagne with a real sabre... now, how chic is that? ;-)

Pros: Several vegan options available for mains, Professional service

Cons: Serves meat and fish, Vegan cooking just average, Service can be very slow
