Lots of delicious vegan toppings!

Their vegan pepperoni is amaze-balls! The crust is delicious. The service was excellent. They brought my son spaghetti and marinara even though that’s not specifically listed on the menu (only listed with meatballs). My whole family really enjoyed the meal!

Pros: Great service, Lots of vegan toppings, Delicious

Cons: Serves flesh

Meatball Sub!

The meatball sub was huge and in all ways perfect. Hadn't had one in a long time... My friend ordered spaghetti and meatballs which they veganized for him (just had to ask). They also had vegan pizza options, but no dessert.

Cons: the dead animals on the walls

Hurray for bean soup!

Why has the world stopped offering bean soups and chili?? I suppose it is the risk of inducing gas… heck, take a “beano” Legumes rule ! Try the miner’s white bean soup! When i ordered the spinach salad, the server was savvy to alert me it had feta. For this trip, i am being vegetarian so ate the feta. She would have held it… or, looking at the pizza choices, maybe could sub the vegan cheese?

Pros: Solid well-presented menu, Soup, salad and pizza optiond, Brewery fresh beer and cider

Cons: Remote, Season-only, Might have a wait for a table

Great vegan pizza and more!

What a find in this remote, national park area. No wonder this place is constantly busy! They have several vegan pizzas on the menu as well as a nice “make your own” option for those of us who do not eat vegan cheese or faux meat. They also had a terrific vegan bean soup, plus there were salads, etc on the menu.

The vibe is high energy, with rock tunes blaring, crazy decor and a zillion craft beers on tap.

Great choice for veg*ans visiting Denali Park.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Good quality food and service, Lively vibe spot!

Cons: Continually busy

Cheez-y break from the monotony!

After traveling for hours in a bus, with little to no vegan selections, Prospectors’ was a welcome break. I ordered the vegan Tundra 16” pizza, with roasted tomatoes & artichokes, although I believe it’s subject to change. With 3 vegan pizza options, a vegan philly cheezsteak, & a heaping of cauliflower nachos, I’m convinced you’ll find something. Come here if you want some good ol’ fashioned comfort food and a beer after the monotony of uninspired heads of lettuce from the trip up!

Pros: Plenty of vegan options., Great beer selection., Bar seating.

Cons: 16” pizza was $30. , Long wait with anyone under 21.

Nice

They have 3 vegan (and gluten-free) pizza's available. They are very good, but there aren't a lot of vegetables on it. But that's typical for Alaska, so a very good place for the region.

You should take into account that it could be that you have to wait long in the touristique season.

Pros: 3 vegan pizza's

Cons: Slow service, Lots of hunting decoration

Best Pizza Ever!

My family (two teens who are non-veg, husband and I who are both vegan) visited Prospectors Pizza on a recent visit to Denali at the recommendation of our tour bus driver. The pizza, quite simply, was the best any of us had ever had. We had many vegan options, and the kids loved the vegan pizza as much as the regular. Our server Susan was delightful. We wished we could have had more meals there to sample more items. Wish HC allowed me to give it 5 Cows!

Pros: Amazing food, plentiful options, friendly staff

Cons: Noisy

Great vegan pizza option

We were hesitant about what vegan options we would have available in Alaska, but we were very pleased to find Prospectors. Updated from the previous review, they now serve daiyya cheese. You can build your own pizza from lots of veggie options, their vegan red sauce, and vegan chicken. They also have soy milk (but not for espressos which are from a machine). The meals are pricey though.

Pros: Good service, Delicious vegan pizza, Lots of local beers

Cons: Expensive , Large serving sizes, Dead animal decor

the Vegan Tundra Pizza is NOT VEGAN (yet!)

We just got home from the BEST vacation ever in Alaska, and we just loved Prospectors Pizza!
Especially when we saw this on the menu:
VEGAN TUNDRA
- Fresh Spinach, Artichoke Hearts, Tomato Sauce, Garlic, and Soya Mozzarella (lactose/meat-free/vegan)
It was a great vegan pizza! except it wasn't vegan :o(
Unfortunately, we found out after dinner (when we wanted to thank the chef) that their vegan cheese is not vegan.
They use Galaxy Foods "Veggie Shreds", but sadly, the idiots who make that cheese put dried skim milk in it! It's the 2nd ingredient in that cheese.
(So this really isn't the pizza place's fault - why anyone would put skim milk in a soy cheese is a mystery!)
Not vegan: http://www.galaxyfoods.com/galaxy-products/veggie/veggie-shreds/
I encouraged them to order "Vegan Shreds", made by the same company, Galaxy Nutritional Foods.
YES vegan: http://www.galaxyfoods.com/galaxy-products/vegan/vegan-shreds/
and we also told them about Daiya:
http://www.daiyafoods.com/our-products/mozzarella
We hope to enjoy one of these actual vegan cruelty-free non-dairy cheeses on the Vegan Tundra next time we visit Denali!
so, if you decide to try get a vegan pizza here, ask first to see what kind of vegan cheese they are using!

Pros: they MEANT to have a vegan option!, friendly staff, really neat place

Cons: not vegan (but that could change!), dead animals all over the walls, noisy
