Good Baked Goods - Edit

Nice and airy space within the Castro.

Great gluten-free/vegan baked goods, especially the muffins.

Also a good options for vegans looking for pre-packed meals; for those who avoid nuts, take caution as many of the pre-packed meals contain almond.

Pros: No Meat , Atmosphere , Bowls and Baked Goods

Cons: Pre-packed Meals Heavy on Nuts , Expensive

Plant-based in the historic Castro - Edit

Although this is mostly a juice joint, they also offer about half dozen freshly prepared savory food items in addition to a number of plant-based snacks and desserts. Everything on the menu is organic, gluten-free, soy free, dairy-free, and peanut free. Just one of the pastries when I visited was made with egg. All other savory and sweet items were vegan. Some of the juices include local honey which I'm sure you can request to exclude. I tried the Mediterranean roasted vegetable and black rice salad which was amazing. There are so few options in the Castro for vegan food that this place is a very welcome addition to the neighborhood!
