Good Indian in LA

Priya is so nice!! I haven't had decent Indian food for a hot minute so the food was extra delightful. The waitress Gia (gina?) Was super nice! They made me feel like a regular on my first time in, which I absolutely love. I'd give this 5 stars if possible!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Menu market with very easy to understandable label, Friendly staff

Cons: Not spicy enough

Priya makes you feel like family!

This tiny restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall, but it's a local gem! The owner, Priya, her family and staff make everyone who walks through the door feel welcome. The decor is rustic and beautifully colorful. Seating is limited, so I usually try to get there just after they open for lunch. Wednesdays are "Vegan Village" specials and they are delicious! A lovely lagniappe is the complementary cup of vegan lentil soup offered as soon as you are seated. The classic veggie samosas were sooo very tasty. I've had both masala dishes and they were equally delicious. The portions are generous and the food is comforting. Priya even sells her authentic South Indian curry powder at the register, so you can keep the flavor party going when you get home! I haven't been to "Tiffin Night" on Thursdays yet, but it's on my radar. There aren't a ton of vegan options here in Lafayette (yet), and I truly appreciate the variety offered at Priya's! I'd give it 5 stars if I could!!
