Great buffet - Edit
We enjoy these large buffet with vegetarian and vegan options. Flavors are good. Always kind staff. Always available seating at lunch. Take away works well too. Excellent Sambar.

More than enough vegan options for you to come back many times. And yes, this is the best Indian food I’ve had in Chico, but I felt it was very lacking compared to Indian food in other areas. Also VERY expensive for what it is, but given it’s the best in the area they can get away with it.

Lots of Vegan Options - Edit
Just took a friend here over the weekend after not having eaten here in a long time. I was pleasantly surprised to see that everything that is vegan is clearly labeled on the menu and the waitress we had was knowledgeable about vegan food. There were lots of options including appetizers, main courses, rice dishes, and breads. We got vegan main courses and subbed the naan for roti. Everything was delicious! Good portion sizes and decent prices. Now I want to try their lunch buffet to taste all of their vegan offerings!

Clean restaurant with friendly service. Did however have to wait at least ten minutes to get an additional drink. My non veg companion, whom had never had Indian food, really liked his meal. My meal on the other hand lacked flavor and I was not able to finish my meal. I did not want to take left overs, however my companion insisted I did as not to hurt their feelings. Had they asked how my meal was I would have told them.

Priya is an average Indian restaurant. It has a substantial vegetarian menu section. The manager knows what is vegan (my waiter was not sure). Food is adequate and good.

Delicious food, accommodating staff - Edit
While I know Indian restaurants often have very good vegetarian selections, I wasn't sure what the vegan options were. Finding out would involve the assistance of a knowledgeable server. We were in luck, as our super-friendly server could identify the dishes containing eggs and dairy without hesitation. We were told that while the nan had dairy, the kitchen could make some dairy-free. (Imagine my joy at vegan nan!) The food is amazing and there are a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. Win.
