Vegan-Friendly, View of Singapore River

Apart from the vegan options in the permanent menu ranging from sweet to savoury, there is a special black board menu with monthly vegan specials. Note that the vegan items mostly contain alliums. Pricey but grateful that Prive is vegan-friendly. If you visit during your birthday, the staff members also help you take a Polaroid photo and prepare a birthday card, as well as serve a complimentary slice of cake. The outdoor seats have a great view of the Singapore River. Located within Asian Civilisations Museum, a short walk from many iconic tourist attractions in Singapore as well as Raffles Place MRT.

Unexpectedly great

Stopped here for lunch after going around the excellent museum. I had the impossible burger, iced latte and tiramisu - the latter in particular was great. They had other options too, all labelled.

Lots of vegan options... food could be better

I'm torn writing a review for this place because they do have a LOT of vegan options, you're kinda spoilt for choice. And the location was lovely with lots of seating. But at the same time, the food wasn't that great. So maybe they need to trim down the menu and just focus on serving a small selection that's really tasty. I ordered the vegan croissant which took a long time to come out and when it did, it didn't look anything like it looked in the shelf display, mainly because it tasted like the waiter had stuck it in the microwave and you could tell when you ate it. My girlfriend and I both ordered the vegan breakfast which was very MEH, the beans tasted off, most of the food was cold, which again, must be a microwave problem because they're heating each item up one by one? The breakfast also came with Lurpak butter which I'm pretty sure isn't vegan. They have a huge selection of cakes and pastries that all looked incredible but I didn't order anymore after our subpar breakfast experience. The waiter was also incredibly rude. It was like we were bothering her by asking for stuff. She looked annoyed the whole time she served us and I cannot fathom why cause the whole place was empty that morning. For a place like Singapore, I think there are plenty of other vegan places that serve better food and you get your money's worth with better service. The breakfast wasn't cheap at all and we didn't even order drinks.

Disappointing burger

I had the impossible burger, and for the price it was, I did not think it was worth it. Was very greasy and too much sauce, couldn’t eat without cutlery.

Cakes are great though, especially the hazelnut chocolate!

Okay chicken rice if you like salty food

I ordered their vegan chicken rice and banana muffin. Chicken rice was wayyyy to salty for me. Would not order that again.

I did like the muffin though. Moist on the inside and good with a cuppa 😊

Pros: Has several vegan options

Afternoon Coffee by the Singapore River …

Stop in to ACM. Joined a free guided tour. What’s next? It’s time for tea! Head to Prive ACM to eat, drink and relax at Alfresco area, looking at Singapore River view and CBD skyline. Life's good, enjoyed 50% off sliced cake (suitable for Lacto-Ovo-Vegetarian) with a coffee ordered on weekday 3-6pm!

Recommended for Tourist.

Pros: With River View, Recommended for Vegetarian Tourists

Really amazing, definitely a must try!

Privé at the Asian Civilisations Museum is a casual all-day dining concept offering both indoor and outdoor dining options. They are not a fully veg*n restaurant but do offer vegetarian and vegan options.

What I tried:
~ Asian Sensation Burger:
I really enjoyed the unique match of flavours - savoury and sweet with a bit of tang. The burger is chewy (like the meaty kind) and not 'crumbly' as compared to the previous Beyond Burgers I tried. Worth the try.

~ Gado Gado Salad:
Originally non-vegan, Privé veganised the Indonesian dish by substituting prawn crackers with potato chips and omit the boiled egg.
My partner and I love this dish. The peanut sauce is very fragrant, extra enjoyable when the dish is mixed up and the lime juice added to the mix.
Portion is enough for 3 people

Thai Green Vegetable Curry:
A large hearty bowl of spicy goodness.
Creamy and flavourful, and my favourite dish from them so far.
Portion is enough for 3 people.
Not many non-veg eateries offer healthier alternatives to white rice, I'm glad they served brown rice.

PB&J With Flourless Banana & Oat-Pancakes:
The pancake taste [censored] 'gao' (thick) with the texture of oatmeal. Banana is an excellent egg substitute in holding the pancake together. When I sink my spoon into the pancake, it cuts through like well made chocolate cake (we'll come to that soon 😉) - that's how thick it is!
The homemade peanut butter and the chocolate sauce are simply amazing with the pancake. Rich, sweet bitterness + nutty, creamy + savoury = yum

85% Dark Chocolate Cake with Raspberry and Chia Seed Compote:
It's gluten-free! Just like the pancakes.
It's moist, rich and utterly delicious!
Haven't had a cake that taste so rich in a while.

Pros: Menu items are clearly labeled, Some of the non-veg items can also be veganised, Good ambience
