Sweet local gem - Edit
Simple family owned local street side restaurant. It has an explizite vegan vegetarian section (even Tempeh) of local Egyptian an international food for a very little price. We had a full menu for two at the price of a drink at Lighthouse. The staff is very friendly.

Friendly but not ideal for koshary-lovers - Edit
Simple restaurant with a very friendly and forthcoming staff. I came here for the koshary and was informed of a 30 minute waiting time, as they'd make it fresh from scratch. Not being in a rush, I happily agreed and ended up a bit disappointed when the Koshary arrived without Dakkah (vinegar dressing) which is the fascinating ingredient that adds complexity to the taste of this otherwise simple dish. Other than that the food was tasty and prices are super affordable.d

A must in Dahab - Edit
Little family-owned, cat-friendly restaurant with very (!) affordable prices. The menu has a whole vegetarian/vegan section. We tried the burger, the lentil soup, hawawshi and tomato salad. Everything tasted great and was freshly prepared. Absolutely recommended.

Read moreHeute hatte ich Tempeh mit Paprikagemüse und dazu habe ich Kartoffelbrei bestellt. Nächstes Mal wähle ich Reus. Aber das Gericht für unter 2€ war riesig und lecker.
Auch das täglich selbstgemachte Hummus und Babba Ghanoush ist echt lecker und kostet mit 0,40€ echt wenig.
