Yummy but felt expensive!! - Edit
Fantastic, obvious vegan options. Had the corn ribs and the mushroom fettuccine. Corn ribs were super yum!!
Read moreOverall, for a starter, two mains, and two pints it felt a bit expensive but it’s a treat I suppose!

Vegan Pub Grub in the Heart of Beddgelert. - Edit
I visited Prince Llewelyn Hotel strictly as a patron of the pub & restaurant, so this review does not reflect the hotel portion of the business. The Prince Llewelyn Hotel runs a breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu, and all three contain vegan options. The menus aren't massive, but there is still a decent mix of vegan dishes.
Read moreThe vegan breakfast items include Toast with Spread, Spinach & Mushroom on Toast, Vegan Sausage Bap, and a Half or Full Vegan Breakfast. There were also vegan extras available to add to these dishes at extra charge such as Vegan Sausage, Mushrooms, Tomato, Avacado, Hash Brown, or Spinach. The vegan options on the lunch menu include:
- Veggie Feast, Fungi Feast, or Shicken Tikka Vegan Pizza
- Shicken Tikka & Mayo Ciabatta
- Bean & Beet Burger
- Vegan Tikka Makhanni Curry
- Salt & Chilli Corn Ribs
The evening menu also contains these options in addition to The Soup of the Day and the Vegan Mushroom Tagliatelle. There was one vegan dessert option, the Biscoff Waffle, and there was also a vegan Kids Ice Cream Tub on offer for children. The vegan kids' food options seemed to be smaller versions of the vegan curry and tagliatelle in addition to a Vegan Sauasage and Mash.
I nipped in for lunch and went for the Shicken Tikka & Mayo Ciabatta with a side of Salt & Chilli Corn Ribs. The ciabatta portion was decent, especially considering the low price, and the accompanying homemade coleslaw was delecious. The salad that came with the corn ribs wasn't as fresh as I would have liked, but the ribs themselves were great, and I can understand why the staff shared that they are one of the most popular items on the menu!
The food at Prince Llewelyn Hotel is unpretentious, and the vegan dishes are easy to identify on the menus with their huge green labels. The sides were not labelled, but the staff were very happy to help and answer questions. I wouldn't recommend travelling specifically to eat here, but if you're in Beddgelert and are after a quick hearty bite of vegan pub food, then the Prince Llewelyn Hotel has you covered.
Pros: Cater Very Well for Vegans, Nice Staff, Labelled Vegan Options, Dog Friendly, Decent Variety, Satisfying Food
Cons: Drinks Menu Not Labelled, Sides Not Labelled

Great pub with great food - Edit
Lovely pub with friendly staff and a whole vegan section on the menu with a burger, curry and pasta to choose from. The food is great and the portions are absolutely huge so good value for money. There's even a vegan dessert which is a biscoff waffle with ice cream and it's amazing - really really recommend!

Good options, tasty food - Edit
We had 2 x vegan fungi pizza's that were really light and fluffy for a change, really fresh and tasty. Kids had veggie options. There were quite a few other vegan options that was nice to see. Great service and location, we booked as it gets busy.

The tikka kebab is worth everything - Edit
Honestly the burger was nice, but… The vegan tikka kebab skewers were everything. I would happily just get several massive portions of them and be happy for ever! Really friendly and helpful place.

Good Vegan Dessert - Edit
I enjoyed a dinner here with my omnivore husband. There were several vegan options. I chose the Vegan Tikka Masala which had chunks of soy instead of meat. It was tasty but I had hoped it would be creamy which it was not - it was a tomato based sauce with onions and peppers. I was given the option of rice, chips or chips and rice which was a nice touch. Also came with poppadum and mango chutney. They had two vegan desserts and we ordered both: a Biscoff sundae and a blackberry and apple crumble with ice cream. Both were excellent. I think they used Swedish Glace vanilla ice cream. The place had a nice pub atmosphere. We booked the table ahead of time. The servers were knowledgeable about vegan food.

Fantastic vegan choices with High quality food. Fantastic service from all the staff very friendly and attentive. They accommodated 8 of us with a dog, lots of areas to sit inside and out. Great choice of zero alcohol drinks too. I can't recommend the place enough.

Nice place for lunch - Edit
Had lunch here on a blazing hot day, so sat in the garden. They had two vegan options so I went for the beetroot and quinoa burger (the other option was a pie and it was just too hot). Little on the pricey side for what it was, but service was quick and friendly and it was tasty.
