the place is trashy there was a loud sports radio playing the whole time we were there (and the prices are pretty high so we weren’t expecting that kind if atmosphere). the “vegan cheese” is the worst ive ever tried it literally tastes like margarine with flour and the texture is liquid. i can’t believe this place is so popular that ppl are making reservations 😭 bc this is the worst vegan food ive had in italy

Great vegan pizza in Tropea. They didn't have the tofu one anymore, that all the other reccommendations talked about - the tofu pizza was from last year, they told me. They have a new "Vegan Pizza 2.0" with hummus, paprika, olives, red beet powder and vegan cheese. The crust and dough were amazing. Overall recommend.
Read moreIt's located right on the piazza so it can get quite busy and when you're unlucky you get seated next to a parking lot. Get there early, since all the spots were taken on a thursday night and people queued to get seated. But that can only be a good sign, since the pizza was really good. Also a lot of options for vegetarians.

I would advise you to go put your name down first as there’s a long waiting list, then explore Tropea and come back to secure your table. Only tried the vegan pizza, others in my group had non vegan ones - all were amazing!

The most delicious pizza ever - Edit
They have one vegan pizza on the menu which is all you need really. Delicious soft dough topped with mushrooms, friarelle (green leaf veggie), slivered almonds and basil. They use cream cheese instead of mozzarella which makes it ever so wonderful. €10 per pizza, very reasonable.

This pizzeria has only one vegan pizza available but you won’t need anything else after having tried this piece of heaven. The pizza dough is unbelievable and the mushrooms on top were top quality. The vegan cheese was a bit runny but it nicely complemented the pizza. I can vouch for the vegan cheese. if you have ever tried the real mozzarella before going vegan you know that the vegan cheese tastes nothing like mozzarella or burrata. Eat your vegan pizza safely and enjoy 😍

Delicious food, nice atmosphere - Edit
We tried the vegan pizza which was super tasty. When I asked to have the salad without cheese the waiter was irritated saying there's nothing left to the salad then but was friendly anyways and the salad was beautifully arranged. The atmosphere is nice, quite normal, prices are average.

I saw only one vegan option but this one was delicious. Also my non-vegan friends liked it. The cheese was definitely vegan, I compared it to the mozzarella of my friends pizza and the difference was obvious, so don't worry😄there was only one moment when they asked me if I wanted "burrata" or "mozzarella" above. They ask everyone because they put this as an extra cheese on the top of the pizza, no matter what pizza you have ( burrata is also a cheese). You just have to answer that you dont want any of both and then your pizza will be completely vegan.

Be careful - I served dairy mozzarella - Edit
I ordered ‘la vegana’ which specified vegan cheese. When I was served it it clearly looked and tasted like dairy mozzarella. They said it was vegan cheese so I asked what brand and they showed me a tub of vegan cream cheese. And there is no way when cooked it had the strongly texture and taste of dairy mozzarella. Perhaps they ran out or made a mistake - either way very disappointed and upset tummy :(
