Best Indian I've ever had - Edit
The range of food available for vegans on this menu is amazing. All very high quality and extremely tasty. We had the taster starter which brings one of each starter and can be vegan or vegetarian. I then had a lentil, potato crepe in a coconut curry sauce and my partner had a vegetarian paneer.

Perfection - Edit
Gorgeous presentation, heavenly food, fantastic friendly knowledgeable service.
Read moreIt doesn’t come much better than this. We hadn’t booked but they managed to squeeze us in for a quick bite (although everything is cooked fresh so no fast food here!)
Definitely recommend the tasting starters and pretty much everything on the menu if not vegan can be made to be. Love love love this place! If you’re in the area or know you’re going to be it’s a must to visit but to be on the safe side book.

Absolute favourite! - Edit
This is my favourite local restaurant and try to go a few times a year. The vegan options are amazing. So different to other restaurants... if you think it's "just a curry" think again! You will be blown away by the flavours!

Expensive! - Edit
Okay, so it’s been a longtime since I visited prashad, even though it’s really close to my house. Now I remember why… the prices. I opted for the popadom and pickle try and a masala dosa. Pickles were great, all made in house and unusual and tasty flavours. Masala dosa was good too. I couldn’t resist the vegan rhubarb ice cream too, which was the highlight of the show. There is a whole load of different and interesting dishes on the menu if you have deep pockets. A vegan tasting menu for £62 a head etc.. service was a bit stiff, functional, needs a bit more enthusiasm.
Read moreI’ll probably leave it another 7 years before returning and stick with the cheaper, more comfortable options round town.

Unique dishes - Edit
I have been visiting Prashad since it was in Bradford. Its a great place with an interesting menu. I hate to say negative things about local businesses but it hasnt been as good the last couple of times. I think its more a result of covid or cost of living. Its a little expensive and yhe restaurant is looking a bit tired. On the plus side the food is always really tasty, the Thali was fantastic. I will continue to go on a regular basis. Hopefully it will return to the standard it was a few years ago. P.S the cookbooks are the best i have bought.

Not as I expected - Edit
After watching the Gordon show and hearing all the good reviews I was so excited to come here - especially as I’m such a huge fan of bundobust!
Read moreThe service felt a little awkward as it was all done by young teenagers (which is totally fine) but they didn’t seem confident or excited about the food or service.
We got mixed vegan starters to share which were tasty!
I was a little disappointed with my main as it felt a bit underwhelming, however, my boyfriends dish was a lot more exciting.
Pros: Tasty starters
Cons: Unconfident staff, Expensive

We had a delightful Sunday lunch. We ordered from the fixed price menu and the a la carte. There was a variety of delicious vegetarian and vegan food. The staff were very helpful and described every dish as it arrived. I can recommend this restaurant and will be returning soon.

The business - Edit
This is possibly the best Indian restaurant that I've ever eaten in and I have tried many. The food that we had was faultless. The restaurant is fully vegetarian anyway but a lot of the menu is vegan friendly also. We had a mixed vegan starter platter, to share between two, which was devine & then I had a vegan thali. There was quite a lot of food but I'm glad that we got the starters as they were amazing.

Most authentic food I’ve had - Edit
Me and my partner drove from Stoke-on-Trent to try this place after seeing it on the Gordon Ramsey programme. We’d been wanting to go for a while but never got round to it so now that we had I was apprehensive that it would fall short of my expectations. I can confirm it absolutely did not! We shared the Methi Khandi Bhaji who h was essentially onion bhaji but it was the best onion Bhaji I’ve ever had. We also had the hara bara kebab which was a mashed pear and cauliflower kebab which I would absolutely recommend it was delicious, full of flavour. For the mains we had chole (chickpea curry) and masala dosa with rice and masala chips. It was all so authentically flavoured and I can not stress enough that this was the best Indian food I have ever tasted, and I’ve eaten a LOT of it. We read reviews where people said that “expensive mineral water” was pushed onto them, we were never offered this so this is seemingly false. The staff were all so lovely, food came fast and piping hot, the presentation was that of high end food, the atmosphere is nice and the decor is lovely. Some may see this as slightly more pricey than your average curry house, but it’s worth every penny. If you get chance to visit you should. I would do the long drive again 100%.

Amazing takeaway - Edit
It was our wedding anniversary last weekend and so we decided to treat ourselves with a celebration at home. We've always wanted to go to Prashad and seeing on Facebook they were doing contactless collection for takeout, decided now would be the ideal time to support them. All of the food was absolutely incredible, and the ordering and contactless collection service was flawless. We've recommended to our friends and will definitely be back. If we want to visit these places when this is all over, we *must* support them now to get through this time when they will have much less business.

The decor is gorgeous and feels very authentic and it's great that you're given a free vegan amuse-bouche to start the meal.
Read moreWe tried a big variety of the vegan options and I cant imagine a way they could be improved. Even the meat-eaters we went with said they didnt feel a need for any meat in the dishes at all.
The only problem was with the service, we were sat for 15 minutes before even being given a menu and then it was even longer for our drink orders to be taken. The waiters also forgot some of our drinks orders as well as two of our dishes and then were adamant we hadn't ordered them in the first place.
Was such a shame because other times I've been the service has been spot on, hoping it was just a one off!

The food here was absolutely phemoninal. I had the vegan thali and every single dish was incredible. The vegan options were indicated on the menu, and there was plenty to pick from. When our waiter found out we were vegan he was brilliant at explaining things to us and accommodating everything to be vegan options, we didn't even need to ask. Vegan beer was available too, and you could match up your drink to your meal so the flavours complimented each other. I can't wait to come back, just make sure you book in advance.

The food at Prashad may be the best I've ever tasted. The flavours and spices are absolutely perfect, making the most delicious meal that I can't recommend enough. After a number of visits and trying a number of dishes, everything has been amazingly tasty. There are plenty of vegan options that are clearly marked on the menu. They offer take away too, with a discount when purchased between specific times. The restaurant has a nice vibe too, and always smells lovely!
