Okay. Great location.

I ended up here because they're open later than Pig Minds. The vegan gyro with fries was honestly pretty tasty. I was disappointed they don't do small pours of beer unless you get a whole flight. Seems odd for a brewery with lots of beer on tap. They have a parking lot which is nice and it's right on the river. If you're lucky you might catch a nice sunset. As a vegan, I would always recommend Pig Minds if you're in this area first though.

Pros: Food was decent , Parking lot

Cons: No small beer pours

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Vegan space alert!!! You can tell they put a lot of thought and purpose into the veg options. I had the house made plant burger (bbq sauce, cheez, onion strings, vegan aioli, jalapeños) and my mom had the mushroom quesadilla (also vegan). It’s rare for me find it hard to choose between menu items at an “options” restaurant. I give it 5 stars

Tasty surprise!

We ate out on the dock, and the afternoon was glorious. I had the green burger and it was really fantastic. There aren’t a whole lot of options, but they had just enough for me. I have agree with other comments that it was slow, even our drinks took a while. Our waitress profusely thanked us and other diners for their patience. Great option for dining with friends who aren’t vegan.

Pros: Dockside dining is wonderful , Fantastic food, Nice waitstaff

Cons: Slow service

Yummy!

Being vegan and in the area, my husband and I go here frequently. The tofu poke bowl is amazing. They use sushi rice, so it’s nice and sticky…not just plain white rice. It’s not as “vegetable-y” as it sounds either. So many nice flavors and textures. The vegan gyro is also amazing. They have impossible patties, vegan cheese, and vegan aioli, so sometimes I craft a personalized burger for myself- they are always accommodating. The fries are vegan and delicious. On Thursdays during the summer, they do “Dinner on the Dock”…live bands, etc on their outdoor patio right on the Rock River. They’re also on DoorDash.

Pros: Vegan options clearly labeled, Delivery on DoorDash , Delicious

Cons: Always busy so parking extends across the street

Great decor, right on the river

Cute place with not much else around. Rehabbed building is airy and spacious. Friendly people and eager to please. Confirmed what was vegan before placing our order. I had Thai peanut salad and my hub had vegan gyro ( maybe burger crumbled for meat). Both were good and nice sized portions.

Pros: Love the decor!, Has fries, confirmed vegan, Amazing chocolate cake for dessert with gelato

Cons: Not a huge selection of vegan items, Loud

Yummy

They were 100% plant based. And I found the food delicious. They need to make more restaurants like this one.

Pros: All vegan, Delicious, The workers were nice

Cons: Put more vegan restaurants out., They were a little slow because of being busy.

Nice place for lunch

My mom found this place as an option for us to eat vegan while the rest of the family ate omni. My son and I each had different vegan burgers and they were delicious. The menu is clearly labeled and the staff is well informed about what is vegan. We also got vegan chocolate cake with Gelato that was heavenly! We will definitely be back!

Amazing choices in Rockford

Driving home from WI, we stopped here for lunch. We were so surprised at the many vegan choices clearly marked on the menu. Beer was super yummy and refreshing. We will make a point to come here every time we are out this far north.

Pros: Light and heavy vegan meal choices , Vegan desserts

Cons: None at all

Great Spot for Mixed Diet Groups

Prairie Street has a some great vegan options. Not a ton, but enough to feel like you have to make a choice. On top of this, the beer is great, service is great, and if you go during the summer, eating on the dockside is great. If you have a group of people that have a variety of diets, this place is hands down the best option in Rockford.

Pros: Fantastic vegan options, Great view /atmosphere

Cons: Can get busy during the summer.

Handful of vegan options

They have a few vegan options and usually include on on the list of monthly specials. My favorite is the tofu poke bowl.

Phenomenal Black Bean Burger

I think this is my new favorite veggie burger, but then my taste buds may have been influenced by the great view of the Rock River on a gorgeous day. I'm also super thankful that they have BOTH black bean burger & Impossible burger options, because I personally don't like the taste of meat. This black bean burger is house-made with quinoa and sweet potato and is topped with the flavorful kick of harissa aioli, not to mention a good helping of fresh avocado slices! The fries were so good, especially when dipped in that awesome vegan aioli, we ordered an extra portion. We also tried the Philly Cheese Steak Flatbread. Topped with basil pesto and arugula, it tasted more like an upscale sausage pizza than Cheese Steak. And bonus: the restaurant tries to be eco-friendly with local ingredients, beautiful retrieved lumber, LED lighting, recycling and geothermal energy.

Pros: Clearly marked menu, Friendly staff, Incredible building & view
