Every full moon public holiday (Poya Day) the Mount Lavinia Hotel does a 100% vegan buffet influenced by ideas from the Vegan Sri Lanka group. Split into juices, salads, canapés, vegetables, Sri Lankan, Indian, Asian, Western, pasta station and dessert station it costs 2000Rs (as at Feb 2017) and includes the use of the beach and pool. Uses organic and locally sourced ingredients. Open Poya Day 12:30pm-3:00pm.
