A vegetarian food truck offering fried tofu, bbq jackfruit, Impossible burgers, and more, most of which is vegan. Part of a unique concept called The Hive - multiple food concepts and a full bar in one location that's all full service. Open Mon 4:00pm-11:00pm, Tue-Sun 12:00pm-11:00pm. Closed Tue.

The Hive doesn’t have Powerplant’s menu - Edit
Although Powerplant’s website is still up, The Hive is basically just a BBQ joint now. They have two vegan entrees, which are pleasant enough but far from what this listing would lead you to expect.

Vegan Food Truck - Edit
Fun atmosphere, but we were a little confused about how to order. Went up to the truck, and it seemed like it was closed -- no menu posted and no one responded when we knocked on the window. Turns out you have to get seated through the Hive bar's host stand and then order at your table. No prob - but signage would be helpful.
Read moreFood was overall good. BBQ jackfruit sandwich was terrific. Our kids really liked their mushroom po boys, and the fries were top notch! The only disappointment was the habibi salad that sounded great in the description but was pretty bland - I didn't taste the tahini at all.
Pros: Friendly service, Lots of options

Thanks for dining with us! We know it's a bit confusing for newcomers that don't know we're a full service venue (it's unique - to our knowledge you won't find an identical concept anywhere, worldwide) but we hope our staff guided you in the right direction! We'll take a look at what might have happened with your salad. Hope to see you back in Cayman soon!

Get the chickpeas - Edit
I got the Chickpeas to try as a starter and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious they were. I'd go back just to get more of them. For a main I had the Cuban bowl which was also pretty good.

Burger was very nice. Chickpeas a surprise - Edit
I had the burger and fries. Also ordered their fried chickpeas. The burger was excellent but I was surprised by how good the chickpeas were. The normal fries got boring in comparison (although very tasty too).

Cons: Not fully vegan, despite the name
