Pub grub that’s actually vegan - Edit

These guys confirmed in writing and gave to fave that the vegan burger and chips are totally vegan and cooked separately to anything non-vegan.

Pros: Cooked in a seperate area, Tasty burger

Great pizza - Edit

The staff on both occasions I went were very helpful to find out what could be made vegan.
The mushroom pizza with vegan cheese was yum, pretty pricey tho.
Also tried the falafel burger (aioli is vegan by default but ask to swap to a vegan bun) not a great burger, I wish I’d just got pizza again.
Good to have options though, especially as nothing else open on Ohakune in summer!
I also had breakfast upstairs as it was included with our hotel stay. Fruit from buffet plus cereal (cornflakes) and all types of non dairy milk available. Looks like they had Freya’s bread too with spreads (no vegan butter) Also had avo on toast with pesto made vegan very yummy
