Should be Five Star IMO - Edit

Fantastic, friendly, fast service. Food is excellent. The fact that my omnivore husband and I (Vegan) can both eat and enjoy a meal at the same place is always good. The Vegan mozzarella was excellent and the Vegan sausage was also excellent. The chef makes both in house and I’m extremely impressed. I would be thrilled if they would start a side line business selling their vegan cheeses and sausage so that I could use them in other recipes at home. The stuff I get at the grocery store doesn’t hold a candle to this. As for the fish tanks, I don’t have an issue with this since this is used as their aquaponics system, they are not overcrowded and their tanks are well maintained. The fish were obviously healthy and large, with tank size adequate for size and number of fish to size of tank ratio. The types of fish were symbiotic in how they were paired for living arrangements too. They were very thoughtful about this and didn’t just throw it together haphazardly.

Pros: Excellent quality food, Friendly staff who actually care enough to follow , they pool tips here, which means they consider eve

Cons: as the place fills up, it gets Loud! not a deal b

Not sure about this... - Edit

I totally appreciate vegan options but the vegan cheese is coconut based and not very good. The texture is great but the flavor kinda ruined the pizza. The Marinara pizza is great and they appear to be adding more menu options.

Pros: Great for take out, Good service

Seems like vegan options have fallen off lately. Was excited to try all the new creations.

house-made fresh mozzarella - Edit

I love wood-fired pizza and i'm so glad we have a place to get a creative and tasty vegan pizza in downtown Durham! Chef Aaron is vegan and has been doing a nice job at getting creative vegan options on the menu and specials. He created a vegan fresh mozzarella that is delicious, and it is now on the permanent menu on the Vegan Margherita. The daily veggie special is often vegan. A recent special: Vegan dill béchamel base, sliced roasted red potatoes, fennel. Finished with cashew parmesan and Monte Iblei olive oil. yum!

update Sept 2017: in addition to their house-made vegan mozzarella added to the permanent menu, they also now have vegan house-made sausage as a topping option! It is delicious.

Pros: vegan chef on staff, creative options incl. house-made mozz and sausage, great downtown location

Cons: fish tanks :(

Yum! - Edit

The vegan Mozzarella is delicious, way better and more special than other places that use store-bought vegan cheese.

Pros: Delicious food

Cons: Only one pizza is vegan
