Great place

Lovely venue. As others have said, there are no vegan pancakes on the menu, but if you ask, they have a vegan batter, and you can choose to add blueberries etc. They also had oat milk. Really friendly staff and quirky decor.

Pros: Vegan pancakes, Oat milk, Friendly staff

Polly’s Rocks!

As any vegan has experienced, it is super difficult to find vegan pancakes or an eatery that makes an effort to provide vegan breakfast items. When a group of friends suggested Polly’s for breakfast, I woefully thought to myself that I would decline to join them…..that is until I checked out their website. At the very bottom of their online options regarding allergies, I saw the magic words, “vegan pancake batter”, followed by detailed information about a separate butter free (oil) grill to cook the home fries. I was so excited and Polly’s did not disappoint! I ordered a 6 stack of fluffy, sweet, silver dollar vegan pancakes, which I added blueberries to. Of course, I added on the home fries, which were thinly sliced and delish, sprinkled a little of their black pepper, maple syrup, jalapeño seasoning on them and enjoyed a bowl of fresh fruit that included huge blueberries, sliced bananas, strawberries and sliced peaches! I can’t recall every getting sliced fresh peaches in a “fruit cup” before and it was wonderful.

Although the wait at Polly’s is super long (don’t forget to put your name on the call ahead list the day of), my hats are off to Polly’s for making this an eatery vegans can enjoy with their non vegan friends and family. Polly’s you rock!

Pros: Vegan pancake batter, Butter free grill for potatoes, Fresh fruit

Pancake shop with a view

I found this place on a “Things to do in Littleton, NH” list. I stayed at a campsite in Bethlehem NH and woke up bright and early to make sure I could stop in before the crowd. I did read that it gets pretty busy and quickly but I managed to make it before the crowd stormed the doors. It’s important to note that they do serve meat, eggs, cheese, things cooked in butter, and most people are eating that and it’s all around you. I know that can be bothersome for vegans/herbivores alike. There wasn’t anything stated as vegan on the menu but I had read another review that mentioned asking about their vegan options so I did just that. The server brought out a separate menu that detailed vegan and gluten free items which was really nice. I had a half stack, two blueberry pancakes and one special with apple pie almonds as a topping. I was actually really excited about this place and making the trip here but the pancakes were just okay, they weren’t spectacular or phenomenal, just okay. I’ve had excellent vegan pancakes but these just didn’t cut it. As per another reviews suggestion I tried the potato pancake, I understand it’s usually cooked in butter but the vegan option has them deep-frying it instead. It arrived a greasy and soggy mess. I put it between two napkins to drain a good bit of the grease so I could taste it. It did taste good, onion, salt and pepper I think, but I didn’t eat too much of it as it was so greasy.  I also ordered an oat milk latte which was just wonderful. There’s no outdoor seating just indoor. Our table was by the window and the views were magnificent. I did grab a couple of maple snacks from the gift shop on the way out. I’ll probably return when I come back to NH, it was just a nice experience. The host, server, and barista were all very friendly.

Pros: Vegan menu and can veganize certain dishes, Plant milks for coffee, Friendly staff

Cons: Food was just okay

Worth the trip! 🥞

Pancakes and waffles are both clearly marked on the menu that they are available vegan and the servers are knowledgeable about veganism. The potato pancakes are available vegan on request and they were phenomenal. Make sure to try them with the maple pepper! Don’t try the maple cream since they told us they make it with a small amount of dairy cream.

Oat milk is available for coffee, and our server even allowed us to order the autocrat coffee milk with an oat milk substitution. We also ordered a side of fruit which was fresh and delicious.

Meal was fabulous and affordable. Servers were friendly and knowledgeable. Cute gift shop with maple themed items. This place is worth the trip!

Pros: Delicious breakfast food and plant based milk, Very affordable, Great scenery and ambience

Cons: Can get crowded at peak hours, Also serves meat & no vegan meat substitutes, No outdoor seating

Finally a yummy breakfast

Best vegan breakfast in a restaurant we’ve had. Blueberry Pancakes were sweet and fluffy and potato pancakes were perfectly seasoned. Pure maple syrup adds to the deliciousness. They take reservations which are highly recommended as wait can be long in this popular restaurant with spectacular views. Waitresses make all of the pancakes and our plant butter that we brought with us melted right away on the hot from the pan cakes.

Pros: Separate vegan menu, Several choices , DELICIOUS

Cons: No plant butter, Charge extra for plant milk , Usually a wait

An unexpected surprise

My friend wanted to go to this place, so I went along. I expected to have toast or a bagel with peanut butter and a side of fruit. But I decided to ask my server if the pancakes had any dairy/eggs. He said they could make them vegan! I ordered one pancake with walnuts, one with coconut, and one with blueberries. They were yummy! I also ordered a side of the potato pancakes - make sure you also ask for those vegan. The potato pancakes were SO GOOD. Just make sure you ask your server to make your regular pancakes vegan, too.
Another cute touch they do is serve every table a maple tray - with maple syrup, maple sugar, and maple pepper. The pepper was delicious on the potato pancakes.
