Independent book shop with a small cafe offering teas, coffee with oat or soy milk and a vegan cake/bake. Open Mon 10:00-16:00, Thu-Sat 10:00-16:00, Sun 11:00-15:00.
I always visit here when staying with family; the book shop has a carefully curated selection of literature, including a children's section at the back. The coffee is great - they only do filter coffee so don't expect lattes, cappuccinos etc. The filter coffees are of different strengths and roasts that are all named after famous writers. They've got oat and soy milk to go with drinks, and usually have at least one cake/bake option. Always friendly service.
