Worth visiting when in Chinatown - Edit
Heaps of vegan items on the menu, which are really nice. Good dumplings and noodle dishes. Colourful and creative. Really enjoyed.

Interesting dishes - Edit
I’ve eaten something that I never had before and that’s nice but the vegan proposals are almost all mushroom based

clearly labeled menu, decent dishes - Edit
We had the Vegetable Dumplings and Spring Rolls as starters, they very fresh, hot and tasted good. I chose the Fried Noodles with Mock Chicken in Black Bean Sauce, which was delicious! I loved the sauce, the „meat“, although I‘m not a huge fan of the type of noodles they use, they kinda taste burnt/too smoky? But overall great food, the seating is not great, it‘s kinda uncomfortable and not that much space, also service was rushed but they are really busy so that‘s fair.

Sehr leckere vegane Gerichte - Edit

Good choices, average food - Edit
Menu has been updated with vegan options clearly labelled within the veggie sections. Good choice of starters and mains. Food wasn’t bad just average and this being Chinatown isn’t cheap!

Good Vegan Chinese - Edit
I went to Plum Valley in person and asked if I could order food to go. They confirmed they do offer this, and it's not just sit-down or pre-order and pick up.
Read moreI ordered the sweet & sour mock chicken and fluffy jasmine rice. This came to a total of £16.00 which is slightly overpriced in my opinion.
My friend ordered 3 types of dim sum for £20 which sounded unreasonable but I never saw how much food she actually got.
The food was really delicious and there are a wide range of options. The staff understand vegan dietary requirements and are prepared to facilitate it. Items on the menu are clearly marked as vegan.
I waited about 12 minutes for this food, which is slightly long but it was a Friday night and the sit-down part of the restaurant was completely packed.
I would definitely go back here and try the salt and pepper mock chicken next time !
Pros: Delicious Chinese food, Non-greasy food, Good portion sizes
Cons: Slightly expensive, Fairly long wait times

Great spot! - Edit
Delicious vegan chicken with noodles!! Although it was hard to tell which options were vegan vs vegetarian. Accidentally ate a bite of pork dumpling because the waiter brought the wrong appetizer:(

Alright Chinese food with mock substitute - Edit
Was in Chinatown and went here for dinner and it was alright.
Read moreThe place is right at the center of Chinatown in London with quite a lot of seating on two different floors. Wasn't a problem for us (2 people) to get a table without reservation on a Monday evening. The restaurant offers different vegetables dishes with tofu or vegan substitutes like mock chicken/duck. I had the 503 dish with additional rice and it was good. The mock chicken was good but not my favourite but the bean sauce was really delicious.
What brings it down for me was that the allergies wasn't clearly marked and I wasn't sure what was vegan or vegetarian and got the impression that the staff didn't know completely, so better to double check before ordering!

Pretty good - Edit
The menu had vegetarian options labeled and you had to cross reference with an allergen menu to figure out what was vegan which wasn't ideal. We felt a little bit rushed as we were asked over and over if we were ready to order when we had had barely any time with the menu. We opted for the vegetarian starter platter and the mock duck with black bean sauce and jasmine rice which was a perfect amount of food.

Best meal ever - Edit
This place is one of my favorite restaurants ever. It was so great, it will be one of these places I will exactly remember in 10 years and think about how wonderful the food was.
Read moreThere are plenty vegetarian options on the menu, most of them vegan, staff can tell you more about it. From the outside it looks very small, but it's big inside. I had dumplings and mock chicken in a bean sauce and this was literally the best mock chicken I ever had. Everything was delicious! Outside was already crowded, but we got a seat inside directly without a reservation.

Badly labeled and slightly chaotic menu. Service was ok.

The mock chicken sweet sour was amazing. Pretty much indistinguishable from real chicken imho. Would definitely come here again.

Nice food, mediocre service - Edit
The food was quite nice and had authentic flavors. However, we found hair in two separate dishes, repeatedly ordered rice that never arrived & the mapo tofu was served 10 minutes before the other dishes and was lukewarm. Maybe the kitchen was very busy.
Read moreDishes are only labeled as vegetarian although we were told most are vegan anyway.
Based on my experience and the price I honestly don’t recommend eating there even though the food was nice.

Great vegan options (badly labelled) - Edit
I went to plum valley after it being recommended by a friend. The majority of options on the menu that are listed as veggie are actually vegan.
Read moreThe staff were friendly and helpful in finding vegan options. I had the mock chicken with black bean sauce, braised pan fried tofu with mushrooms and peppers, vegetable dumplings, and the vegetarian platter.
My favourites were definitely the mock chicken and the veggie platter (especially the beef). Obsessed with both of these and would definitely order both again.
The tofu was silken not pan fried but still good. Dumplings were nice but not bursting with flavour.
Dishes are slightly expensive but expected for central London. I’d definitely go back.
Pros: Lots of vegan options , Good mix of vegetables and fake meats , Great flavours
Cons: Vegan options aren’t clearly labelled , Slightly expensive
