Very poor service - Edit
I have been going to Plevel on and off for years. I started going often, but the inconsistency of the food quality drove me away. After a while I keep giving it another try... only to be disappointed nearly every single time with the increasingly horrible service. The wait staff are friendly enough, though too often I sit and wait and wait and wait for any service... even when the restaurant is empty!!! A few times they even forgot about us and other times they forget our orders. Simply put poor service!

Cons: Horribly slow service... if any, Mostly untasty food

Amazing environment! - Edit
The environment of this place was awesome. I felt like I should stay for hours and just hang out. Then the food came and it was even better! I had a pasta dish with some nut made cheese that was out of this world. 10/10 would eat again!

Improved! Worth another visit ;) - Edit
We came here again after this January, we were very happy even then but... this place has really improved a lot.
Read moreEverything was absolutely great tasting and well prepared, there were also very good juices (oddly you don't find them often, here in Prague).
Amazing experience, one of the best vegan places out there.
Hidden gem.
Pros: Quality of the food., Cozy atmosphere., Prices.

I had the cashew quesedilla, and a pumpkin cake. Cake didn't have much taste. The quesedilla was good.

good food if a little pretentious - Edit
It’s pretty expensive for what you get and the food took a while to come out, even though we came for early dinner and the place was empty.
Read moreFor starter we had a cracker thing with carrot “smoked salmon” and buckwheat “caviar”. It was absolutely delicious but three tiny crackers between us.
For mains we had a burrito and spaghetti with cashew cream and mushrooms. The burrito was really good but the spaghetti wasn’t hot all the way through, and the cashew cream was clotted and stuck to the pasta. Would’ve been nice if it was saucier and creamier.
I’m never usually in the mood for dessert but the meals weren’t very filling, so we finished with a piece of carrot cake. Again really small portion - I’ve never seen a slice of carrot cake that small in my life! To be fair it was only 60 crown.
Pros: interesting decor, all vegan
Cons: pricy, small portions

Overpriced not tasty food - Edit
Huge disappointment! The food is expensive and really really bad. I live in the neighborhood so I tried to give Plevel more chances to make my experience better but it was just worse and worse...

Excellent raw and cooked - Edit
My spouse had the mushroom risotto and I had the raw zucchini noodles with the walnut pesto. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, especially the raw spaghetti were heavenly. A touch too salty for those of us who eat with barely any salt, but it was still really yummy. Excellent service too, at my request they were kind enough to make a jar of plain cucumber juice for me. The homemade forest berry lemonade was the best I've had in a very long time. The atmosphere is great too, very very cozy and comfortable. We loved the place and would come back any time.

Tasting menu highly recommendable - Edit
We ordered the tasting menu with soup - a total of four courses. Original and creative dishes (such as a toast with 'smoked salmon' made of carrots and 'caviar) which were appealing to the eye as well. Good portions for a low price. Highly recommendable.

Yes! - Edit
We went there for a birthday dinner and were pleasently surprised. Good selection of interesting sounding stuff. Everything we orderd was amazing! After the dinner the chef came to our table to ask our opinion of a new 'mozarella' she is testing out. Dont let the 'alternative' interior put you off, foodwise this is a excellent restaurant.

lovely desserts - Edit
we went there to get dessert and weren't disappointed.
Read morewe had a cheesecake (probably made from silk tofu) and mille feuille with banana sorbet (which we identified as nice cream with cinnamon) and some sort of cream that was weirdly bright green in color. but it tasted nice enough, if not super fresh.
i did however absolutely love the atmosphere (gotta love a restaurant with floral wallpaper that plays blur on repeat)!

very very good - Edit
Everything was vegan, quite a small menu but the food was so delicious. My vegetarian friend and I both had roasted soya meat with gravy with red cabbage purée (incredible) and potato dumplings, which made a nice change from burgers and hot dogs. We also shared some cakes which were also incredible. We were both very impressed and had a great evening talking to the staff as well.

Try the traditional Czech dish! - Edit
The place is very nice to look at and the food was fine. I have to say the soya meat in sauce with bread (sorry can't remember what it was called but she said it was a traditional Czech Sunday dish) was AMAZING.

Good choice if you wanna have a beer with your meal - Edit
I have been to this branch of Plevel twice - first time a couple of years ago when it just opened, and again just recently.
Read moreIt still has a great location (even though Krymská street is not as trendy anymore as it used to be a couple of years ago) and it has an absolutely cosy interior and nice music. There is alcohol served, including draught beer (I am specially mentioning this, as a common complaint I hear about other Prague vegan places is their non-alcoholic policy). And the opening hours are long and they cook until late.
Talking about food, the prices are slightly higher (above 30 % above average in Prague) and I am not sure the food is really worth it. We had a hot dog and spaghetti. The food styling was absolutely awesome but I was not that happy about the taste.
The hot dog sauce was so spicy that I was almost unable to taste anything else, and the tempeh sausage was a bit too salty. Overall, I did not find the whole thing very inventive. Same wih the spaghetti, I found there something missing about the flavour. Some more seasoning would do.
Generally, Plevel was a very exceptional place a few years ago when it opened, as there was not much competition at that time. But today, I know better places located at Prague 2.
Pros: Draught beer, Long opening hours, Dogs welcome
Cons: Prices, Sometimes not that friendly service

I remember when I visited Plevel few years ago I was quite dissapointed. The food wasnt that great for the price you pay but after some time I gave Plevel a second chance and definetely dont regret it. They improved a lot and make some seriously delicious meals there. This restaurant is absolutely worth a visit:)

The kitchen delivers the food via dumbwaiter. Both times I was there if it takes a while to come. But for the most part it was worth it and it's thoughtful. It's very popular as well.
